Apparently some kids DO get violent over video games.

Wow.

I guess Azisien gets to say i told you so.

But only when you take the games away...

Jack Thompson will doom us all if he succeeds!

dark butterfree 03-14-2006 11:45 PM

oh great. now that one bad apple has ruined every gamer's reputation...

Raiden 03-14-2006 11:53 PM

Come on, it's Arkansas. If it weren't the games, it would have been his grandmother eating the last pudding cup that made him go crazy.

Seriously, this won't end well. Now we're going to see this kid on a talk show with Jack Thompson, talking about how Resident Evil touched him in naughty places and forced him to assault people.

Azisien 03-15-2006 12:18 AM

I told you so!

But really, he should have thrown the axe first.

theKOT 03-15-2006 12:47 AM

I think it's kinda obvious this kid had underlying issues. I've played Eternal Darkness, and killing reanimated corpses never got me to the point where I would wield an axe. I never got past the mallet, and come on, that defenseless old lady was asking for it. What people should really be worried about are the upcoming zombie webcomic readers wars, because Webcomics are full of graphic and glorified depictions of violence and tend to be addicting. Come on, pappa needs his fix... ooo yeah... That's some good OOTS...

That or something else his grandmother did. Something unspeakable by humans. Something so horribly vile, that the mere thought of it shall make you shudder. It is evil, nay, evil among evils, and it would spread terror throughout any man's heart.

Y'know, I'm not even gonna finish. Like I said in a different thread, my wit tonight isn't functioning properly.

On topic: I'm getting sick and tired of all this stupid kids running around with their "I can do whatever I want, it's my life" attitudes. It makes me wonder if we really are advancing in anything through generations.

If it isn't the attitude, he has mental instabilites.

The Wandering God 03-15-2006 03:37 AM

Yeah, we're just going to ignore that it was his grandmother that he started to assault.

Lack of parentage sent up a red flag.

Seriously, am I the only one who can picture the grandmother not having any clue what the boy is doing with his life? And unless he recently acquired Resident Evil, he shouldn't even have been playing it.

Gee, I wonder how their home life was. I notice the article failed to give any information on that, but did focus on the games.

The only time videogames have ever made me angry was when I was playing GTA3. And I accidentally ran over the second to last patient on ambulance level 12. And I mean angry, not violent. They are not synonoms people. Geez.

The government has finally desided to take a hand in the issue. THEY TRY TO TAKE OUR GAMES AWAY!!:stressed:

The truth is out there......
