Well, tonight is the night!! Doctor Who is the very long running british Science Fiction series thats like a british star trek. If you don't know, Doctor Who is about a time travelling adventurer who explores time and space with his companions while fighting evil. This series has been running since 1963 with ten different actors playing the Doctor. It comes on tonight at 9:00 pm est on the SCIFI channel.

I can't wait! Its gonna be awesome. Time Travel is one of my favorite subjects in science fiction, and Doctor Who should be a great series. what do you think?

Already watched the whole season as it came out on the BBC. Very fun take on the Doc.

Holy crap I just got through watching 1 show and I can't wait to see the next one! That was the best dam show I ever seen!

EDIT: forgot to add KBM, so I'm doing that right now.

Brian, how'd you get BBC? Yer a Floridian. (well, I think you fall under "Deity", you have enough people worshiping you in Forgotten Realms mythology)

That actually brings a funny image. "Great Lord Brian, give us this day a miracle"

And then you gave us 8-Bit Theater instead. I think we were happier with that.

Anyways, I've seen three episodes. Is it a law that he say "Fantastic" in that weird tone EVERY EPISODE?

But, still, skin woman exploding was cool. But the whole ghost people/things in episode 3? Heh, I was turned off by them. They seemed like some demonic invasion, more suited towards Marvel.

Does my fandom count if I've only read some of the novels? (In my defense, I can't see the TV show on account of I don't have any cable.) My library has around half a dozen, most to do with the eighth Doctor; and maybe that's biased me, but the eighth Doctor kinda rocks.

It is law that certain aspects, such as some aliens, MUST be cheesy in Doctor Who. Because, well, it just wouldn't be Doctor Who without the cheesy.

But yes, this Doctor is very entertaining indeed. It's actually given me a reason to watch Sci-Fi! Aside from Sci-Fi's occasional Bruce Campbell movie days, that is.

Captain Jack <3

And I would imagine that if one had a satellite dish or something one could actually catch the BBC in Florida.

I don't have cable or anything as a protest to commercials. Anything I want to watch, I download. I then show my support directly by purchasing the DVD release.

I didn't say they were cheesy, those would be the Memes or whatever they were of the second episode (I cannot remeber episode names. >_< )

And you don't watch, say, Battlestar Galactica? Or even Stargate Atlantis?

If that's all you watch on Sci-Fi.. :(

Meh. Those aren't really all that good. I'd rather watch a movie on Fidays, or catch Numb3rs on CBS and a repeat of House on USA. SciFi's "Originals" leave much to be desired.
