NPF Mafia: Game List
 

The reason for this thread is two-fold and dependant on the current time frame:

At this moment, having one game going is too limiting for everyone who wants to play. If you don't get signed up before spots are gone you're left sitting on the sidelines in the replacement section or merely a spectator. And if you do get in there's a chance that you'll get knocked off early and be forced to wait out the game. Since true games with multiple roles and 20+ people can take a LONG time, this means that a lot of people are getting left out in the cold.

For this purpose I'm suggesting we go to a multiple-game at a time system. I PMed shiney about it but I haven't heard back, kind of like when I first started bringing Mafia to NPF, so this might just be a premature notion, but a multi-game-system would allow for people to participate in at least one game so they wouldn't always be left out. I'd advise that you only join in as many games as you could devote time to, lest you end up dropping out.

If this goes through, and I'm hoping shiney will approve of this measure like he approved of the first game, I won't be responsible for running all of the games. Who will? You...i.e the person who wants to run a game.

Of course, with that kind of plan, we'd have more than enough opportunities for someone to rush in and start a mafia game, to the point where we'd have an overflow of games taking over the Off-Topic forum, and then where could we go to easily find out somebody's gender and sexual preference?

So I'm going to again steal ideas from another forum and start a list. If you want to run a mafia game, simply post in this thread the name of your game, and I will add it to the list. Top three names on the list are the ones who will have a game running. When one game ends the next name on top of the list will start. If a GM is forced beyond his control to end the game, or a number of people agree its all tapped out, then the game is declared dead and the next game starts.

Since it worked so well at the other forum I frequent, I'm going to call for a three-game-system. Three would allow for a decrease in inactivity without being forum-allconsuming.

The next post will contain all of the past games, a list of games currently running, and the master list of games-to-be. I might add links to websites containing more roles and such if I have time.

I also want to run a game, though I'm not sure exactly what theme yet.

I'm contemplating running a mod-themed game, but I fear for my safety if I do.

EDIT: aww, what the heck. I live dangerously.

The roles will be like in the current one, but instead of masons we would have the reporter, who would choose somebody each night and the next morning everybody would know that person's role. He would win when he was the only person with a role left. This would not include normal cultists, but it would include the cultist leader.

Just a note: You don't have to post every specific of your game here. Save that for the actual thread if it helps.

Also, I think that until I get a concrete ok (or the exact opposite) from shiney, this list will remain just that. After the shiney interceding, then we'll start, or not.

Also, after a few games I will run another Inexpierienced Mafia (which means that I am officially retconning 8-Bit Mafia 1 into the first Inexpierienced Mafia) to get new forumites into the swing of things.
