The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass

Source.

Link returns in a new 3D cel-shaded adventure for the DS. Apparently he has a fairy now, and can aim his boomerang with the stylus. Words cannot do this game justice.

Portable 3D Zelda? I'm SO selling my soul to the devil for this one. Although I have a complain: The Phantom Hourglass? What is it gonna do, count my time as a spirit?

dojindog 03-23-2006 08:47 PM

Nooo! Why must Nintendo continually push me into buying those damned portables just so I can enjoy ALL of my Link?

Edit: Wait didn't Link have a fairy in most all of his games :sweatdrop

looks awesome!

my only complaint is that the 2D graphics look pretty patchwork. if there's one thing that irritates me, it's bad 2D.

oh well! still looks great. I luvs me sum Zelder.

looks like it doesn't get any weirder than a talking hat. or at least, it hasn't as of yet.

gurusloth 03-24-2006 02:46 AM

That looks pretty sweet...almost makes me wanna get a DS Lite.

I saw this yesterday and immediately IMed 5 people who had the same reaction.

I'm hoping it's not routine, but here's hoping they really make use of the stylus. That 'gimmick' alone will sell it for me.

Well, they had a hat (Minish Cap).
And an ocarina (Ocarina of Time).
And a lampshade.
...
Wait, that was a Flash game. >_>

Yes, Pinky...I knew I bought my DS for more than Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows.

Pretty cool. Glad that the WW art style isn't dead yet despite these new realistic ones.
