It's official: I'm sold.

While I can't say that Sega partnering with Nintendo like this was much of a shock to me (as I had been hoping this would happen ever since the announcement of total backwards compatability), the TG-16 bit was (pleasantly) surprising. It makes me wonder: Could Ninty make a similar arrangement with Sega regarding, say... the Master System, or the Saturn? Could they even make a deal with SNK for some the Neo-Geo library?

As a self-proclaimed Sony Whore™, I have but one thing to say about this.

I want a Nintendo Revolution.

Other Revo stuff: Why did they finally switch over from the code name? Nintendo Go? Even NintenGo is...ug.

I swear to god, they don't realise how important the Revolution name is/was. It has the perfect connotation to it, and already has rooted itself in the community. I understand code names like Dolphin being changed, but too much is riding on the name Revolution, dammit!

And, yes, that is pretty cool. TG16...never thought I'd play those games on a real console.

And here I thought the Revolution just couldn't get any more freakin' sweet. I mean, I was already pretty much dead set on buying one, but now...

It'll be twice as nice for me 'cos I nearly had a Sega Genesis once. But, since it was a castoff from a rent-to-own place (my father used to work at one, and he'd be the first to tell you they're untrustworthy fnuckers), it no longer worked; not even my father's mad repairing skillz could make the Sega magic come back. (On the bright side, it makes a decent paperweight.) Now I could play what I missed out on. I'm going to allow myself a small squeal of delight now.

Only problem now is that they're gonna need a different controller. Because for some of the games, I don't see how the Rev (it is NOT the NintenGo, dammit!) will play.

On that matter, how will it handle multiplayer? I don't know much about the specs, so I assume each controller will have a unique identity, and the Rev will recognize each one?

I was going to be picking one up anyway, and the Sega games is a huge bonus. Finally, I'll be able to play Vectorman, Sonic 2 and Gunstar Heroes again!

M.E.R.C.S..... **Drools**

As for that NintenGO thing, you gotta realize that thats in japan. You may remember the NES had a differant name in Japan. Its just that North America will get the good name.

... IT'S NOT EVEN HUMAN!

Sorry, I just had to say it.

Althane 03-24-2006 12:35 PM

Famicom is WORSE than NES.
Super Famicom is WORSE than SNES

Ok, I'll give it the benefit of a doubt.

So, will there be a limited selection... or a grand total of ALLLLLL the game?

I want Tales of Phantasia, not the cheap GBA version, the real SNES version.

AND Star Ocean! I want that!

IOWACJE 03-24-2006 01:32 PM

I heard a rumor that Revolution was going to be $99. Anyone know anything about this?

If so, I will not hesitate to get one.
