Yeah, the boat should be near the temple.
Though, since Krylo landed in the boat...I'd guess we saw it. The boat would likely be on the shore right near the temple. So it'd work that Taken landed in it and everyone was there. |
That's what I assumed was going on with the boat.
|
And now either one of these will happen.
Either Tayuumi is about to get completely beat down, Taken ignores her, Taken decides to postpone the fight or someone magically stops Tayuumi seconds before she lunges forward. |
Well, Kirakiri uses his powers of bastardry yet again. The possibilities of threatening Sarai seemed irresistable. Deja vu perhaps.
He's going to need a good rest after all his hijinks in this day though. So, decided not to have Astral saved AB? Pity, I thought she had some potential. |
Anyone else think that, when Kirakiri splits in two, he should have his powers docked?

Also, if the rock spirit is standing between you and your objectives, and it is large and wide with a huge armspan, shouldn't he, know, be able to reach you? Especially after you have been in heavy combat? Still, he got you anyway. Now, I'm hoping that the members of team good hurry up and get to the boat. That spirit can only do so much. Soon he will be overwhelmed, and when that happens, we should be long gone otherwise ...:sweatdrop |

Astral's the tip of the iceberg. I gots plenteh mo' PCs that needs a gud smackin' down. EDIT: I just realized something. Knowing Kirie's long-distance "spark wave" attacks and her penchant for using oversized swords, she could do something like this... Kirie had just about had it with the enemy. It was time to use...that. "Time to use that attack that InuYasha guy taught me when he saw me training." Kirie raised her oversized sword back over her other shoulder and- "Take this! Backlash Wave!" ...And unleashed a furious tunnel of sharp crescent blades, destroying one of the split rock elementals. "Holy shit!" Kirie exclaimed, looking at her own sword. "How the hell did that attack do so much damage? Man, if I knew it'd be that powerful, I would've paid attention when he showed me that Windscar attack." |
NO! BAD AB! No Inuyasha moves! No bad-tempered half-dog-demons! *fetches a rolled-up newspaper*

Well, since I intend to Add Raze, for at least this encounter, I might as well put out a character sheet. I need not one for Paul, as he's mostly comedic relief. But he is armed with a pistol, which gives him some power.
Name: Angelita-Raze Side: Chaotic Good Race: Demon Age: 57 in existance, 22 when died, Angelita's body looks 19 Appearance: Angelita looks like a young seafarer's wife with thick, long black hair, and a pale body. She wears the garb of Treeport, with a long brown skirt and a green dress that looks like it blends into the brown skirt. Raze himself has short black hair, bluish skin, glowy green eyes, sharp claws, small batlike wings, small horns and a tail. He also lacks his jaw which he covers in the best way possible. His very prescence gives off the feeling to the observer that he's not truly there, but rather a projection of something. Weapons: Has a dagger, but usually uses whatever found. Special Skill:Soul Feed: Regains strength from devouring the souls of the dead. In the living world it's hard to come by them as souls quickly depart to the spectral plane, but over there's an abundance to eat. Raze can get them shortly after someone dies, but there are also places where souls are in a state of unrest, and remain in the living world longer. Plane Shift A: Can phaze his own flesh into the Spectral plane. Plane Shift B/Possession: Can return to the living world using a freshly dead corpse. In a physical body Raze benefits from having something to retain his spirit in the Physical plane, so he does not lose energy as easily and needs to feed not as regularly. But his strength is only that of the body he's in. He can then shift the body to become a physical manifestation of his spectral body, granting him his demonic strength and sharp claws. But in this form his grip on the plane of living is taken away, so he looses energy quickly and needs to feed constantly to keep himself from passing back into the spectral plane. History: In this timeline, Raze's tale of woe begins before the battle for Talkatz's ressurection. Raze was ill fated to fall in love, be punished for trying to save his doomed love, and be ressurected in a freak disaster in which a terrible corruption was unleashed. He fought to seal it and free his beloved from her suffering, only for her to be completely consumed by it just as he was about to seal away the creature permanently. In the end, he sought to destroy the corruption and save his beloved, though the corruption he saw disheartened him, as well as he was demoralized by having to devour souls to keep himself in what passed as 'living' in order to save someone who was already dead. In a horrific battle he destroyed the corruption for good, and freed his beloved soul. This should have been a happy thing, but no. She went forth into the beyond, a place Raze could not go, and gave Raze her goodbyes, and gave him a means to be free from his curse. Raze was furious. He spurned the means and sealed it away, and set out on a life of destruction. He gorged himself on souls, traveled the world in darkness, seeking other means to escape his torment, Flinging himself into battle so that he might finally taste death, but none can do so. But when he does meet someone who can do so, he runs, afraid. The forces of talkatz exist in the spirit world as well, and in them, Raze knows true fear. He hides in the body of a woman, who killed herself upon learning her husband has been lost at sea....and Raze's second story begins. Extra: Firstly, Raze is no warrior. He's actually more of a poet, and knows little of how to fight. So far he has managed to win most of his fights out of beastly fighting, and the fact that he does not die very easily. How he has managed to accomplish feats to save his beloved and defeat the corruption is a wonder, perhaps only accomplished by his boundless devotion to her. Secondly, He's loathing to leave Angelita's corpse, so he'll hang onto it for as long as possible, though if Angelita is struck down he'll take someone elses. It shouldnt' be too hard considering the high death counts any SoL battle has. Thirdly, Raze is tremendously scared of Grim, and anyone who has spiritual ties to Talkatz. Fourthly, Last SoL RP revealed that Raze's seemingly assorted demonic body parts (wings, tail, horns, claws) are actually like those of a long lost demonic race of illusionists, hinting that his transformation has made him like one instead of him simply being fused with a mishmash of body parts. What use or purpose this has is unknown. |
First of all, I will mention that yes, Kirakiri split selves are slightly weaker than his normal form. It says so right in his profile. Another downside is that when he recombines, he gets the injuries of both.
Now Garud, there are concerns about your rock spirit summon. Quiet simply, it's been acting too powerful. It apparently has been holding off Kirakiri, Ayako and Kirie with barely a scratch. I'll go chronologically. First is one of the more minor ones. Kirie. While dealing with Kirakiri and directing a tremor at Ayako, the earth spirit apparently also has the speed to grab Kirie as she attacked it and hurl her away. The first major concern is Ayako. She is moving in a full out run and yet the earth spirit can not only entrap her in a ten foot tall wall of stone, but can also roof it off with a boulder before she escape. Just by concentrating too apparently. I'll make a quick mention of the implausibility of the earth spirit blocking everyone, including the two Kirakiris. All they have to do is split up and move around it - if they move apart, the earth spirit can only stop one of them. Now, another big issue. The chasm. You mentioned it took time to open, and yet gave no time for reaction. You even mentioned that had Kirakiri done something else, he would have had a better chance to avoid. How does the ground shaking around Ayako have anything to do with a chasm opening anyway? Saria and that half of Kirakiri are quite some distance away. Just how far can that earth spirit affect? There is also the point a large chasm opening very fast would probably make Kirakiri and Sarai (who are practically on top of one another) would probably make them both fall in. Finally the quicksand. Too fast again. |
Here we go again.

Also, the spirit cannot affect that far. Aftershocks can, but that's another story. Quote:

Really, in essence, the Earth Spirit stood between the two teams and did nothing more. No harm was really done. If he had attacked, he would have left opportunity to obtain serious harm, but he didn't. That, and the fact that all 3 opponents were tired from previous fighting should establish who had the advantage. |

UNLESS the chasm moved apart slowly, in which case, both should have had time to react to it. Quote:
Also, Ayako wasn't tired at all, and Kirakiri didn't show much in the way of fatigue. The only one seeming very tired was Kirie, but even she had just gotten a boost from a life-aspect demoness. So their fatigue shouldn't have been nearly enough to set them all to below 1/3 ability. As usual in these situations, I'm all for leaving things as they are for now, and just 'not doing it again later'. Although, on a related note--due to the fact that you can always resummon your spirits, while we can't 'resummon' Raikotsu, Kirakiri, Taken, Koyuki, Kurama, Pyros, etc.--shouldn't they be SLIGHTLY less powerful than PCs. Not to any degree where it would matter in most circumstances, but just if a PC and an Elemental face off, the PC is badly BADLY beaten, but survives with enough strength to still fight off level 1 summons or yourself (just slightly better off than Koyuki is right now). |
Yes, I concur with Krylo. I feel a need to make certain other points as well.

For the next point, Krylo already covered no previous mention being made. And you just said the spirit can't extend its power that far, so apparently it didn't happen? Krylo also covered your final part nicely and there's not anything I can really add there. I agree with the not doing things again. I shall make the assumption that Sarai was able to escape somehow and carry on from there. |

On your point of resummoning, well first off, PC's are PC level from the start, whilst Garud has to get to that level through summoning. Also, Taken, Kirakiri, Kurama, Youji etc would not waste their energy by being in existance, but the summons depend on Garud to be out in the physical world. Finally, I thought that summons were weaker even the PC level ones (because I have three options). Quote:

Now, that that's all explained, how are we going to get the others to the boat? Only Raven and Pyros have wings. I suppose they could carry Sanjuro (if he lives), Moriko and Youji. |

Secondly, merely because an action isn't a lethal attack doesn't mean it is "okay". For example, take what you did to Ayako. Let us assume she tried a similar technique, and encased your Rock Spirit in a block of ice. Perhaps it wouldn't harm the rock spirit, but it's rather ridiculous to suddenly and spontaneously entrap an opponent like that, isn't it? It makes it appear that your spirit is far, far stronger than it ought to be, and it'd just have been easier to drop a mountain on her head, and kill her. Less effort, and all. Quote:

Unless your Rock Spirit has 30 meter long arms, he's going to find that sort of reach difficult, to say the least. Quote:

As Krylo and Arhra, I don't care that Kurama and Co. escape, but the methods leading to this are subject to suspicion. |
As a side note, since most of this seems to already have been covered, splitting the island itself apart is certainly a godmoddy action on its own. After all, islands are not thin sheets of rock floating on top of the ocean, but rather underwater mountains or chains of mountains rising above the surface of the island, produced by past volcanic activity. Splitting the island apart is both ridiculously powerful AND would have some catastrophic ramifications.
Furthermore, if Garud's location is unspecified, then I will assume he is hiding in a bush. A bush Raikotsu will stumble into. |

Typing all this with only my right hand!
I hate and love spring. It's warm, which means I am fully capable of moving, leaving my room and getting sunshine. But it's also the time everyone expects me to use my newfound mobility to clean up the messes of the world. Covered in pollen, filled with splinters, I ache. I had meant for my last post to be longer, having Katsuhiro partially waking Sanjuro, and detailing Moriko's continued walk to find pyros, which she should get to in like, 3 posts's time.
But after being dragged out to cut down some bushes and move a ginormous pile of tree limbs, I can't seem to write anymore. It'll be awhile for i can post again today...oy! But I'm glad Rhiya's back, because It was about to look like I would be orchestrating a skirmish in on all fronts against PCs, mostly using all the people I control. It would be akin to running a marathon! I swear, Arhra's out to make it as difficult for me writing wise as humanly possible. But just you wait! Once my back pops into place, I regain use of my left arm, and the swelling in my splintered skin goes down, I'll repost with such power it will be a thing to behold! And I thing I used the wrong name for Pyros's attack in the post's title. I just can't remember what the attack's real name is, so I just picked the only one I could remember. It's a variant of that attack where a sort of box is cut, with the final slash making an "X" appear inside it. Like Phoenix too, I have ideas for techniques, and wanted to use it ever since Sanjuro fought Kirakiri. But Sanjuro couldn't swordfight... |
I couldn't leave you to the wolves, could I? That would be heartless of me, and besides that, Falcon just got.... slightly lost... yeah. >.> <.< >.>
Anyway, back in the game, and I have NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON! Summary please? |
Oh, I'm getting fed up with having to do this, but Pyros, that last post was unacceptable again.
Now, I'll leave aside the point that less than an hour ago, Pyros was shipwrecked. I think it speaks for itself. Quite simply, far too powerful. Gekido is one of Kirakiri's strongest warriors. He is not clumsy or unskilled, he simply favours a vicious and brutally efficient combat style. He is also strengthened slightly by the (admittedly mostly offscreen) battle with the monks. Now, aside from the ludicrous ease of the trip, I have no problem with Gekido being tripped. However, the whole "Pyros could have killed or seriously injured him there" but simply choosing not to is unacceptable. Far too powerful. |
I don't think Garud split the island. Just made a chasm in it, some unspecified feet long.
Also, Garud--You're better than you were. Really, everyone godmods in this RP from time to time. We've had problems with just about everybody so far. So don't feel we're attacking you at this point. However, your earth spirit did still do some physically impossible things (the chasm without hurting people), and I'm still not sure how that chasm was made. If it was just from aftershocks, how did he control it to make the chasm right where he wanted... or was that just by chance... and if it was just by chance, how lucky, exactly, were you? I will admit I didn't read back to the earthquake under Ayako, though. Only to the walls, so I DID miss that part--so I concede that to you. |
Arhra, I'm starting to get fed up as well.
Firstly, if you're talking about Pyros being weakened or injured from the shipwreck, he had at at least a short period of sleep or general unconsciousness to recover from both fatigue and injury. Escaping the fiery explosion perhaps fatigued him a bit as he had to break down walls, but other than that he's good. Also Pyros at the moment is angered at the moment by the feeling of death, which also drives him to using more force.. Secondly, Gekkido was not merely tripped. Granted he was thrown off balance from his lunge, which may mean "tripped" but he was flipped over by a sword technique, which perhaps could have also sent the blade out of his hands. Pyros's ability is that he has a fire aura about him and when it's about him he is strong and fast. He is at least 75% percent as strong as Gekkido, and benefits from using his strength with more precision. Gekkido's lunge and short slash was based upon the idea that Pyros couldn't at least parry the axe, and made use of Gekkido's bulk, when Pyros was at least capable. Pyros used this to his advantage with his sword technique, which was kinda a sword-judo. The post made no reference to Gekkido being clumsy or unskilled Thirdly, Gekkido, who is powered by rage and bloodshed, is supposed to always be at the top of his game mentally and retaining all his skill, even after his berserker ability has been set off? I mean, it's bad enough you've created a freaking monster who gets stronger from simply fighting, with no real cap on his power, who you've so far said that the only way to defeat him is early on in the fight, but even when enraged he's skilled? I'll admit a one hit kill would be impossible since he's upside down and his head is out of Pyros's effective sword range, but Pyros would at least been able to hack at his legs or his lower half. And need I state that these constant allegations of god-moddery are from the person who said of his character that each of his halves are only slightly weaker than the original, slightly weaker meaning both can cut through trees in one swipe? Which means the original should be able to cut through solid rock or metal? |
