I'm wondering if anyone here has read any mangas. any suggestions. I'm also wondering if anyone has read any Neon Gensis Evangelion manga, because I am leaning towards that. But yeah, any suggections?

I'm not going to start with all of the manga I've read (up into the 300s) so I'll just point out some of my very favorites:

Demon Diary- Short but very cute and funny.
Vampire Game- Very good
Fullmetal Alchemist- I don't really need to expand on this
Ragnarok- Very good, but they took a bit of a break after volume 10 so don't read them too fast
Trigun- Good, a bit different from the anime
Rurouni Kenshin- Very very good


Those are the few I'll recommend at the moment. Sadly I lost my long list of manga I've read when I got a new computer so it's not as handy for me to just whip out manga titles.

Um.

Azumanga Daioh for comedy; and FLCL for depth. The manga's got an entirely different atmosphere than the anime in that one, so it's probably worth getting both.

Demon Diaries- Awesome, but short.
Fullmetal Alchemist- Do I really need to explain? It fucking rocks.
Fruits Basket- Good for a laugh and two thirds.
D-N-Angel- Overall good.
Can't think of any more now, as my manga collection is downstairs and my toast is almost ready.

What kind of stories do you like? If you could list some favourite books, comics, and/or movies, I can probably think of some suggestions that you would enjoy.

wow amazing...nobody posted Blade of the Immortal...if u don't know what this manga is ur not a true reader...i guarantee if you enjoy chopping hacking and slicing people the old fashion way by samurai honor...i recommend this manga...plz mature audience only though because it gets violent and many hookers get killed and raped in the manga...not to mention all the others that try to kill our hero and main character.

A must read...15 volumes and there's more in development...once you see the detail u'll know why
