Frustrating Moments in Videogames

I could have sworn I'd seen a thread on this, but I checked the first four pages and searched the forum, but got nothing. So...

I'm quite pissed at Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, because I was playing MM, and I had gotten the Powder Keg, beaten the Goron Races, and upgraded to the Gilded Sword, and then my GameCube froze up. And I hate being in those Goron Races, because I'm always messed up by some drunken Goron who veers straight into me and knocks me off a ramp or into a wall. Dammit, Majora's Mask, I argued for you against frothing OoT and FFVII fanboys and this is how you repay me? You're like an abusive husband, but I keep coming back to you.:(

Playing Magic Carpet....

And there's no way out of that last level. They simply don't put enough Mana on the level to move on. So you kill everything, get the mana... then fly around. No credits, no cutscene, nothing... just a level that you can't beat.

Thanks, programming bastards.

Going into Mournhold in Morrowind.

Mournhold! City of Light! City of cheesy overpowered armor, weapons, enemies that make the main quest cry, and magic!

I think my opinion on that hell hole of a city has been made clear. I had more fun finishing the Imperial Legion quests, dueling Mr. Imperial Dragon, and walking out of the arena like a goddamn hero or something, than I did going through that damned city.

Truflame was quite kickass, though. <.<

Speaking of Morrowind, how bout them Stones quests in Bloodmoon? Damnit, I wana be a werewolf, and they're putting this thing in front of me!

Atlantica in KH1 AND 2. How can a single world suck SO MUCH?!

Listening to the characters in Tales of Symphonia. They speak leet whilst we don't look, I know it!

Frank, from Shadow Hearts: New World. Just....him. In his entirety. I don't like him. >:|

Castlevania: Lamment of Inocense: Can we say jumping puzzles? I think it was while trying to find the Ice Elemental, damn jump and whip latching at the the exact right moment. It took me to hour just to get through that freakin room, and then there is no save point and the elemental almost kills me, and then I have to run all the way back to the save point without getting killed. It might be the reason I have not played the game since I beat it. :stressed:

I think what you were looking for was the "broken controller" topic.

That said, I'd have to say the most frustrating would again be the ambulance missions in GTA.

The push rings in the first Shadow Hearts. You don't not advance because the enemies are hard, because you cant figure out a puzzle, or because you don't know where to go next. You can't advance because you can't press the button fast enough to move the needle to the right part of the ring in time.

Speaking of RPGs with 'Heart' in the title, don't the Fat Bandits in KHII seem even cheaper than in the first game?

Mission 1 of Perfect Dark Zero on Perfect Agent. I've been trying to do it for 4 months now. Trying to do the whole 15 minute mission with NO CHECKPOINTS is ruddy impossible.

Ok here's one. A long time ago my father and I spent a good portion of a day surviving Gauntlet for the NES. We thought we were doing great and we made all the way to world five: level 81. Imagine our surprise when we found that the enemies in world five are three times as powerful than in the previous worlds. We both died within minutes, and I never played that game again.

Super Mario World: In the chocolate zone, or whatever its called, i couldn't get past the third or fourth level of that part because it just created a loop around the island and it pissed me off as a kid trying to figure it out.

Zelda Windwaker: The fight with the guy with the two hands with eyes that you have to shoot with arrows, then throw a bomb in his mouth....he is almost impossible.

Splinter Cell: Around the beginning of the game when you have to shoot out the glass in the roof to breathe in the burning building, and then when you have these two cops talking to a drunk after that....

Megaman X: That part in the last level where you have to climb this long hallway with enemies in it, it was impossible because of the stupid fucking ledges and the regenerating enemies.

Zombies ate my Neighbors: Just about the entire freaking game.

I could go on and on, hahaha.
