Character Development for Red Mage
 

The other lightbulb warriors have gotten development in some means or another, and the only bit we have seen of that was negated by Thief's comment on how he was fooling around with RM.

Has RM gotten any real Development as a character in terms of backstory or am I forgetting something?

Well.... His patron is caused by the halucination weakness he took...

Seems like very little is known about RM's backstory. What little there is seems to be mostly a fabrication of thief's...

so we basicaly know nothing about RM's past?

Well, initially Red Mage had a fear of using any of his abilities due to "becoming less versatile" after the ability was expended. As we can see now, he's more prone to using them, but in a horribly incompetent fashion.

Beyond that, I can't really think of any character development for Red Mage. Most of what we know about him is either the product of thief's mind-manipulations, or the result of his hallucination flaw, as previously mentioned.

Red mage seems to be a sort of sarda fan boy, being unable to use any true responsibility without destoriyng something
I'd say sarda will help RM's background come into the light

Like lucis said, after the Deathtrap disaster RM is using more his abilities. Failing miserably, but using anyway.

There's a comic that shows what he was taught in whatever red mage academy he came from.

That doesn't make me feel any safer...
Oh, bless Red mage, at least he TRIED to help and NOT destroy our village in a mass of firey page that will crush us for years to come, plagueing our lands and murdering our children :P

RM should be locked away in a very small room with little food and less oxygen.

Yeah, RM doesn't have much of a backstory. Basically, he learned in some sort of red mage academy about the philosophies of red magery, then went right out looking for a quest (for XP.) Then, he stumbled upon the LWs.
