Tournament: Forever Zero vs. Raiden
 

The stage was set for the second round of the tournament. In an ancient castle in the lands of Scotland, two warriors prepare themselves in the maze-like dungeons for a fight that will push them to their limits, and show them exactly what they're worth.

Thomas is leaning against a dark brick wall, drinking from his new bottle of whiskey. He had replaced the one that had exploded in the first round. He looked around at the dreary area. They were supposed to start off in the large center of the dungeon. It was an incredibly large room. There were many hallways, and all of them branching off and connecting in different areas.

"Well. Nice place for a fight. Could use some more festive decorations. Like skeletons."

OOC: This is randomly selected?

OOC: Random? No, we discussed it.

Janus slowly strode into the main room of the dungeon. Close combat, no trees or outside, mildly claustrophobic arena. Just the way he liked it.

He walked towards the man drinking and said, "So can I assume my next challenge is to be against you?"

OOC: ... That's the point... Match up were supposed to be random...

Thomas raised an eye at Janus. He took a final swig, and put the bottle away. It's best to leave the bottle half-full, just in case he needed a surprise later. Thomas stood up, and rolled his shoulders.

"You must be Janus. Nice to meet you. I heard you ALSO use summons. Nice to know that I'm not the only one. But, are you as good with swords as me?" Thomas took out his Murasame blade. The small light that was actually in the room glinted off the blade.

OOC: Oh the match up? I thought you meant the arena. Well, they are supposed to be random, but also need to be in similar time zones, and Raiden basically challenged me, so I accepted.

Janus pulled his great sword and said with a smile, "Oh I have some skill with summons and know my way around a blade. So, shall we get this battle started?" He waited for Thomas to launch the first blow.

"Alright, then!" Thomas leapt backwards, and as he did, his sword glowed. With a vertical slash, he sent a large energy blade flying right at Janus.

Janus was ready for a blow, and while he wasn't ready for this, he barely dodged it. <That was an interesting trick, this battle will be harder than it appeared...> Janus thought, and closed the distance by charging the warrior, bringing his great sword down in a slash aimed at his head.

Thomas pushed the Murasame sword up, and blocked the swipe. He pushed away with his sword, leapt backwards, and he prepared for another attack. This time, he sliced horizontally, letting out a wide arc of energy. As he did that, he charged up a spell.

Janus dropped to the ground to avoid the next energy wave, and fired off a weak bolt spell at Thomas. He knew he was exposed, but hoped he had time to recover before the next spell.
