The Warring States of NPF - FF RP Discussion 3

I thought this little piece by Manson fits Daemon well. It basically says that he's a god and he's drunk with power. I feel like it works because Daemon is, well, a god amongst ants and is probably going to end up rebelling against us (you said so yourself, IHMN ^.^; ). Powerful beyond reason and hungry for blood...sounds like Daemon to me. ^^; He's also screaming straight out through the chorus, which I feel adds to the illusion of power (well, Manson has to make an illusion, at least. Daemon certainly doesn't :D ). I imagine Daemon dressed in elaborate, decadent robes and sitting atop a ghastly throne in the middle of a bloody room, in a relaxed pose with his left arm draped on its armrest and his chin on his right fist and grinning so widely during this one. Heehee. n.n; Anyway, 'tis just a suggestion. Take it with a grain of salt.

And if not that one, then I suggest the Fierce Battle theme from Chrono Trigger (called Boss Battle 2). It plays during both Tyranos, the Moon Stone battle, and with Masamune. It's straight up, pounding kettle drums and trumpets, never letting up but stomping steadily forward -- never at a rushed pace, with timely flourishes. It reeks of power...but not just any power: it's a steady, brutal, and fierce strength that knows how to pace itself, never letting up for a moment except to taunt us or prepare for an extra heavy blow...and I feel that's Daemon: Steady, utterly overwhelming power that knows no bounds nor fatigue. Once it's going, it never, ever stops until its bloodlust has been satisfied...or until it's dead.

Pfft...as if that'd ever happen to a god. ;)

Somehow, FF7's Jenova theme (version 1, not Uber Jenova) sounds appropriate, too. It's frantic...hectic...grand, paced, fierce...a battle with Daemon's likely to get frenetic in a hurry, since he's so powerful and fast. But, I don't think it'd do the job nearly as well as "Reflecting God" and "CT Boss Battle 2". "One-Winged Angel" just sounds too grand for Daemon, who's not regal in any way. He's purely brutal and fierce...there ain't nothin' refined or toned with his style. ;) Same with "Jenova 2".
