Sithdarth is ok'd.
After breakfast anyone returning to their rooms will notice multiple uniforms have been left on their bed. Details pending--although they will be unisex. |
GAH GAH GAH GAH! I'm planning on finishing my character, but it seems like I've run out of time whenever I went to do the various stuff needed :(
Is it still OK for me to join? SUPER EDITORY OF CACKLING: On second thoughts, I'll just post my char here and wait for confirmation... Won't be able to jump in until later tomorrow though........ Name: Azishkra’elhykai Tazhinactzi Mizamelah (Also known as Azi for those more tongue-tied than her) Age: 18 Gender: Female Appearance: Azi is by far quite an exotic specimen in human standards. Tanned skin, immaculately cut ebony hair, Azi’s face is inset with almond, large dark eyes of a deep violet hue – to the point they are almost black. Standing an average 5’6”, Azi’s frame is lithe, mostly lean muscle. She holds herself much like that of a predatorial cat’s, being able to slink around quite a bit. She is dressed in shades of varying shifting grey garbs – not coarse-looking or feeling, but not the expensive type either – with slashes of shadowy blue and green framing the sleeves. On all occasions, she wears a scarf/face mask that obscures a good part of her lower face – a way to hide a black spiral tattoo with a diagonal slash through it located on her lower right cheek. Bio: Azi was born into the lower caste of a tribal community – their tribal pattern denoted by a spiral on their lower cheek, which was tattooed in at a very early age. Azi was a servant from the beginning of her life, performing the menial tasks of the tribe as was her due. Unsatisfied with her life, Azi worked hard to overcome her position, only to be stuck with a lowly hunting/cooking position. From the beginning, Azi longed to be learned in the arts of shamanistic magic, or become one of the Tribe’s Defendors. However, this was not to be, as her frame was too slight, and her position too confirmed because of her marred spiral mark. Any attempts to make herself a better future only resulted in harsh punishment. Tired and fed up, Azi secretly escaped the tribe on one hunting trip, and made her way to Ingenium Academy to try her luck. On her way, she learnt the basics on how to write and barter. Now she wishes to learn more, and bury her past. Classes: [1] Throwing [2] Whip Combat [3] Unorthodox [4] Claws [5] Strength Training [6] Infiltration [7] Practical Magic I [8] Open Gym Job: Hunting ~~~~ ....... Does that work? |

Rhiya is Ok'd.
Also, as that this RP will have to span several years in game time, and that would obviously take several decades of real time if we went through it all, how about a system for time skipping? I'm thinking that any one person can impose a vote. To impose a vote you simply state that you think we should skip time ahead by whatever amount. Like after most people are done with breakfast you might say "I propose that we skip ahead to the will test at 4pm." Once we have 13 votes (as that we have 18 players, 17 if Lazy Man drops, although he still seems interested), or more/less depending on my own opinion on the validity of a time skip, time skips ahead by as much as the vote proposer asked. Now, there is a way around this to keep it fair. Like, let's say that we get 13 votes to skip ahead to the will test but Raiden or Mesden or whoever has something they want to do with their character that could create a bit more fun that wouldn't work with a time skip. Instead I can arbitrarily rule that the time skip is null and void until after the event or that we simply skip to that event. All they need to do is tell me about it--whether through PM, AIM, MSN, or the discussion thread. Any objections to that? I'd rather not just decide on time skipping myself. I'd rather leave it to you guys, so I don't mess up any of your plots--or not skip when I should and make things too boring. Also, I've decided to add a carpentry and tailoring job. Oh, and the uniforms shall consist of straight black pants, black calf high leather boots, a white cotton shirt, and a black vest with a patch, shaped like a red horizontal line, over the left breast for each year at the school--so yours will have one red line, while other people may have up to six. A quick image of the vest and shirt can be found here. Oh, and here are the updated attachments. |
Curel signed up for the Equestarian job.

vote thing sounds good to me. I think we should also vote on skipping majority of the classes anyways. I mean stuff after and between them are the big events, and anything during classes we can set up something to play those out. These classes are basic, so most likely it will be repatition and lectures. Not the best RP material
|
unless of course you're passing notes in class. No the best idea when the teachers have swords.
Darn it Ecurt! you beat me to the horses... Can I take the teachers aid job? doesn't matter to me which teacher. You changed periods and things, which gives me more options... can I change my schedule around a bit? Sorry for not making it on all weekend. (Especially to Incendius for having to wait for me) I have dial up and my computer is a mac 'o crap. :( |
Awwww, you named my character Unpronouncable XD
Anyway, hope I'm not being absurdly late in posting. When's classes starting? |
What kind of hunting does the school do? Hunt for deer in the forest? Duck hunting with bows? Ride horses and kill buffalo on plains? Fox hunts?
|
IHMN--The forest one, but not just deer. Deer, bear, boars, etc.
Rhiya--The will test is at 4pm today (game time) and classes start tomorrow (game time). Abeni--You can be either teacher's aid or equestarian. There CAN be more than one person to a job. Further, you are allowed to switch classes all you like until classes start. Just post your updated list in the discussion thread (here). Aero--Most classes will be more hands on than that. Magic theory can probably be skipped a lot, except on 'project days', as can magical creation--however, practical magic will involve mostly magical sparring matches and placing students in different situations, same goes for the various weapons classes. Basically, depending on the class, and the teacher's style, there's anywhere from lots of lecturing to no lecturing at all. |
I vote that after breakfast, and else we skip to the will test, as we don't have much to do inbetween.
