by the way, will the teachers be player or GM controled NPCs?

Mostly GM. Once their personalities are established I don't mind people taking some control over them, though.

For Khan's special language tutoring, would the normal language teacher spend his 3rd period teaching Khan? I wouldn't expect Khan to join the Languages class, siince two people who can't understand each other learning isn't the same as a normal language class.

I voted no because I don't think we should skip our first classes. Skipping the next day or possibly even the next month would be a far better plan, but missing out on the introductions of our new professors and such wouldn't be very good. Just my two cents.

You aren't allowed into magic courses until you pass the test.

Also, Khan would probably have a seperate teacher for languages than the one teaching everyone else. She's got other people to teach, and as that she doesn't speak his language either she's no more qualified than anyone else to point at things and name them.

why not have will test just be the new chapter, we are nearing page limit anyways.
