Onion Kid
 

We all know, and have been told repeatedly, that everything exists to hurt BM. I think that there may be one exception. The Onion Kid. I think he exists for BM to hurt, rather than to hurt BM.

When the onion kid grows up, he will return everything BM did to him tenfold.

EVERYTHING exsists to hurt BM.

I don't know if this theory has been put forward before, but what if the Onion Kid IS BM? Either his child self or a past life.

No, he isn't. It had been stated by Brian several times.

Black Mage did murder a blind brother and a sister, but he never stated how many siblings he had.

By the way, I think it more as "the world exists to screw with those who screw with fate" if you know what I mean.

By that logic, the Onion Kid could very well be a young Sarda. After all, Sarda had been alive for several years before he traveled to the beginning of the universe, meaning that at some point in history there will be two Sardas existing simultaneously. It would certainly explain why he has it in for BM.

In order for that to occur, I think Black Mage has to be personally present and assigned blame for damaging Onion Kid's life once more. I mean, seeing Black Mage's face, wandering into the end of Black Mage's murder of the two guards, and butchering Onion Kid's first foster family are all crimes Onion Kid has seen Black Mage. However, the Onion Kid's real family getting swapped, the sinking of the orphanage barge, and the death of the Onion Kid's second family are incidental, accidental things. Hell, even seeing Black Mage's face and the two dead guards are accidental. No, Onion Kid needs to be able to blame Black Mage at least one more time for something Black Mage has done to traumatize his life for the "Sarda is Onion Kid, and has it in for Black Mage" angle.
