The future of touch screen technology
I am absolutely flabberghastedly in awe. I haven't felt this giddy and excited since I first layed hands on a super nintendo.

Interesting but lesser GEE-WIZ factor than the first link.

Sweet zombie Jeebus! That was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I would have thought it would be years before we had touch-screen technology that advanced.

Lockeownzj00 05-06-2006 08:16 AM

Ah, I've seen this before. But still, it's amazing, neh? The effects are a bit disingenuous though, they trick you into thinking it's more advanced than it is...it's the hand and finger tracking that is.

When he starts organizing the pictures and stuff, that is the fucking future.

Grandmaster_Skweeb 05-06-2006 02:29 PM

Yeah, hand tracking though at this stage is pretty damned impressive. Note on the map how he rotates the map by using one finger as the pivot point and 'click dragging' with the other.

Insanity!

DarkCORN! 05-06-2006 02:42 PM

*drool* Thats incredible. There was a thing where you used to fingers to pull back a sling shot, and another to aim, then your let the third finger go to destroy a flying saucer! Think of the games! The thing with the blobs was cool. The maps! Wait...Dear god. Virtual reality anyone?

Fifthfiend 05-06-2006 08:27 PM

Yes yes good.

Now will someone please put one into an iPod already?

TheSpacePope 05-06-2006 08:37 PM

I believe that that is Organic-led technology, which will lead to a veriety of surface coverings that are completely interactive. (They will put it into Ipods for sure.) They are also developing a paint that reacts in much the same way as that screen, just by applying electrodes and a cpu box the size of an AC power charger. Paint goddamit. Your whole wall as a TV screen, Yea they are working on it.

I am officially flabbergasted. O.o Wow.

The picture stuff and the map movement were really neat, but that brush... I want that brush. I must have it.
How'd you run into these video clips, Skweeb?

Major Blood 05-07-2006 12:05 AM

Wow... that was just... wow.

I want one of those things and DAMNED THE EXPENSE!

ZERO. 05-07-2006 12:54 AM
