This is part two of the Doctor Who discussion thread. In this thread, everything in the Doctor Who universe is fair game, the old and new seasons and the newest season playing on the BBC.

Doctor Who is the very long running british Science Fiction series. If you don't know, Doctor Who is about a time travelling adventurer who explores time and space with his companions while fighting evil. This series has been running since 1963 with ten different actors playing the Doctor. It comes on Fridays at 9:00 pm est on the SCIFI channel.

The one thing that gets on my nerves is that the BBC advertise it way too much. During the Chris episodes, SPOILER the Doctor was about to die (I don't need to spoiler this, do I? It's the whole part of the show), like this was the end of the Doctor. The credits run, AND THEY SHOW THE DOCTOR RUNNING AROUND FINE IN THE " NEXT WEEK" BIT.

Also, last Staturday's new episode was a bit cack. The BBC were setting up the episode to be really great, and full of action. Turned out to be the slowest. episode. ever. Oh well...

wha? You didn't like it? That episode was awsome! Sure, not a ton of action, but still!

It wern't too bad, but the Beeb set it up as an action episode and it failed to deliver.

YES, you DO need to spoiler THAT THING IN PARTICULAR. Most American fans who're watching the first new season on Sci-Fi right now don't seem to know that that's going to happen, and until it does, DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR THEM. People who watched the first new season as it happened already had that spoiled for them, thanks BBC, but let's try to keep it a fun surprise for the newcomers, okay? I said this I don't know how many times in the old thread, and I mean it.

I also said that I'd be happy to make a thread just for people who've already seen the first new season, and another for people who haven't, like the dual threads we had when the last Harry Potter came out. Would you like me to turn this one into the second season thread and then make a new one?

Wha? How can that need spoilers? That is so non-descript it's untrue. Hasn't that already happened yet in an episode? Doesn't it happen in every episode?

actualy I think you missed the thing you had to hide by a few words there. Talking about the whole new docter thing in the second season.

Yeah Mashirosen, maybe two different Doctor threads might be a good idea.

OK, so for you fellow American viewers who haven't downloaded it off the net: Saturday's episode, "The Empty Child," has to be one of the creepiest I've seen so far. Not really scary, but good. I'm interested to see how they escape in next Saturday's episode.

I say the American guy gets the virus next. Just because he's a creep. Although I wouldn't cry too much if Rose caught it, either...


Also- "It's a Code Mauve!!" Now THAT was cool. ;)

Has the Doctor always had an obession with bananas? The soft fruit of doom came up in the second series aswell.

Nah, one thread for Doctor Who will be fine. Everyone will just need to mark ALL SPOILERS, even if it doesn't seem like a spoiler.

Anyway, i agree that "The Empty Child" was REALLY creepy. I almost had nightmares. :sweatdrop
