Console Wars 20XX
So... if im getting it right...
Playstation 3 is the Old character from the series who came back after a prolongued training (When he was PS2) and now its super powerfull The Wii is that misterious new exotic hero full of brand new techs and Skills And the X-Box 306 is everyone's bitch... ......And Sega is everyone's whore, who will give a piece of it self to any Console in a attempt of finding itself a loving home... The PS3 has most of the Major brands, the Wii has the power of creating new and exclusive brands, and the X-Box has Halo and some Pc Ports... and sega is still the whore in this little Fiction... Online gameplay and comunities seens to be a great battlefield for the games of the future... which is a dangerous zone since not all countries could make 100% of usage of those servicies... The Ps3 comes to the playfield waging heavy prices and big Hopes And the Wii has a chance of being a Milking Cow for Those Wiimote Add-ons... Sony seens to be trying to use the PSP to interact further with the PS3 Nintendo shoudl do something around that with the DS As Sony seens to copy nintendo's idea, also seens that Nintendo has been trying to use some Sony Classics to Propel the DS sales Higher... Its a Wonderfull new world, and a brand new battlefield people... Thoughts? |
ITs so freaking ironical that i had to put it here...

I predict that the Wii will either be the most succesful of the New-Gen stuff. Or the wii-mote will phail horribly, and become a new Visual Boy, with less eyestrain.
And that video was hilarious. Loved the Xbox 360 guy. Though the Nintendo Lightsabre vs. Sony Knife made me laugh first. |

Interaction with the Gamecube and the GBA was somethign I didn't like. Fortunantly, it wasn't necessary to get everything in the games I play.
I prefer standalones. If you're going to make game to go along with the console, make it for the console, and package it with the console or something. Maybe a big combo pack of DS/Wii compatile games. |
Dare i say Pocketstation?
|
No, you don't dare, because that would make the baby Jesus cry. And you don't want that.

I'm throwing my vote in here for Wii. Even the name. Look at it, just asking to be talked about. Nintendo's already got its foot in the all-powerful word of mouth marketing door, and the promises held by the strange controller thing are nearly endless.
I shall enjoy the next generation of console wars. Does anybody know how the 360 is doing? I have a feeling not as well as it could be, since Halo 3 is still tied up in nonsense, and the system seems to sharing alot of currently released games with its predecessor, the X-Box. Unless I'm wrong. Which is possible. GameCube is fun. I wish it had more games (I'm a bit miffed at the Playstation 2's larger library), but really, the games it does have stand quite well against the competition. I have a feeling Wii will just sink the competition. Not to mention that Sony's strategy is to charge too much, and Microsoft is preparing full-scale hate crimes in the form of Vista. Nintendo, we need you and your silly named Console more than ever. |
I don't think anything has been decided as of yet.
In the last generation of consoles (PS2, Xbox, and GC), the battle was not decided by features, but by games. Even haters must admit that the PS2 outsold the Xbox and the GameCube, despite the fact it was the weakest machine hardware wise. Why is this: game. Gamers will go where the games are, and in the case of the last generation, Sony raked in 3rd party games hand-over-fist. Even "exlcusive" games, such as RE4, eventually found their way to the PS2. That was what makes the PS2 such a popular machine...not the hardware and the flashy features, but the library. Console wars are not decided by the console themselves, but by the selection of games. |
Is the hype astronomical for the Wii? Well, yeah.
Has it officially won the console wars? Nope. When it's out, we'll let you know. |
