Kyle closed his book and stood up from the chair he had been sitting in, and streached out.
"Well, i better go double check the air-tight seals on my mech." Kyle then throws Pillsbuy a salute and leaves the room with the book under his arm. |
"Just in case pick up one of those one size fits all space suits too."

OOC: Should we just say Celes' character has been here the entire time, or showed up very late?
|
OOC: Since she's part of the support crew, it wouldn't really matter whether or not she was here.

Pillsbury was behind his off-white painted Legionaire. The mech resembled an ancient warrior. (ooc: It looks like Talgese with a sensor fin on it's right shoulder and a missle launcher on the left. and the gun is a lot smaller. Also no shield and no plume on the head.) He climbed the fabric ladder. With the feeling of weight the head unit moved to the open position revealing the cockpit. The mech looked like it bowed it's head. Two emblems were painted on the mech. On the right shoulder a Hawk gripping a missle. On the left. A happy looking cartoon blobby humanoid in a chefs hat. When he reached the top he sat in the operation chair. He activated the ignition process and the mech came to life. The orange nylon ladder wound onto it's spindle. The head moved back into the normal position. The air locks sealed with a hiss. He put the restraints on. plugged in the health monitoring systems He put on his tactical display helmet and sat back and braced himself. After all his time in a mech he never got used to plugging in. The cold plug jacked into the port at the base of his skull. (plugging in is an optional self advancement. the operation costs 20000 credits, but you can see the advantage. If you want the Plug, pm me with a good reason why you should have it.) It sent a shiver down his spine. He flexed his neck. He watched as the target sights followed his eye then flipped off the targeting system. The regular FCS square interface appeared showing the available aiming perameters. With a thunderous reverberation on the concrete floor the mech stepped forward Slowly he moved through the hanger doors of the warhawk warehouse. "Let's move out we have an appointment in the Spaceport." He said the speakers onthe outside of the mech relaying the order.

OOC: What's the advantage to having a hole in your neck?
|
ooc: The cross hairs follow your eyes and you have better fine motor control of the mech. Drawback is you can get feedback damage from PPCs and it may cause insanity later in life.

Samuel walked slowly up to his Legionnaire. Instead of going with the rough-white color model Legionnaires came in, Samuel had his painted black and red. He had also painted a skull on each shoulder. Very dangerous looking. Samuel's eyes narrowed, and the smile on his face grew bigger.
"Guess what. You're my new personal weapon. I hope you'll like that. Trust me, we're going to be doing quite a bit of damage. All I gotta do, is give you a name." Samuel grabbed hold of the ladder, and climbed up. He watched as the head opened itself up to allow Samuel into the cockpit. It was almost a religious feeling Samuel had right then. It was like this creation had a mind of its own, and it was telling Samuel right there that the mechanical fighter had chosen him to pilot it. Samuel sat back, and did a quick sweep of the cockpit. The basic stuff, nothing TOO advanced. His rifle was sitting in the back, and his knife was in a special sheath by his chair. Thomas looked above him to the cieling, if you could even call it that, of the cockpit. Up there, he had a cross, with a Jesus hanging from it. Samuel never understood WHY he had put that there. With all the killing he's done, there was no way he was going anywhere BUT hell. But he never went into a mission without it. Samuel put his tactical display helmet on, and leaned back. His neck tensed up as he felt the cold metal of the plug sticking into the port in his neck. His eyes opened wide. Veins appeared in the whites of his eyes, and his teeth clenched. Plugging in was a rush unlike any other. He didn't see why people would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy crack or heroin, when they could just join the army and get a high unlike any other for free. Even though some people became insane. It might explain why Samuel was always wanting to kill, and even what his superiors called him on a regular basis. Slightly psychotic. He watched as his helmet screen came to life. The symbols moved around. His mech rumbled under him, and it moved when he wanted it to move. Before going to meet up with Pillsbury, Samuel took one last look at the cross in his mech. Right then and there, he came up with a name. He turned on his comm, and spoke to Pillsbury. "Samuel and the Redemption, ready for duty, sir!" |
El walked into the hangar, and looked at the paper crumpled in her hand. Slot E3. That would be...to the left.
She walked up to her new Legionnaire. It was grey-white, and really rather boring. That would obviously have to be remedied, she thought. But after the mission. Which, she reflected as she swung herself into the cockpit, ignoring the ladder set there for the purpose, she still knew nothing about. But, then, it really was her own fault that she'd been late for the meeting. Falling asleep last night on the roof of the garage where she worked had probably not been the smartest thing to do. Settling herself in the seat, she sealed the cockpit and flipped all the necessary switches. Everything was green. She was ready to go. "El and the Rebel, ready to go" |
Kansai looked at his Legionnare slightly dissapointed. The horrible gunmetal grey would have to be fixed. A warrior couldn't go into battle without painting his armour. Kansai shrugged figuring he and several others would end up dealing with this problem later. He climbed up into the cockpit and began pre-start checks before running up its systems. Kansai smiled a bit as a small textual greeting appeared on the HUD "welcome Corporal Kaihiro". Kansai flipped a few switches as the cockpit closed and sealed.
"Kansai and Shinobi are awaiting orders, Captain?" |
