OOC: Hence why I said it. I was being serious.
|
OOC: The stead thing? I didn't even understand that... And what's a wyvern? Based on WC3, they aren't that big...
|
OOC: Wyverns are basically dragons without forelegs, and they breath a noxious and sometimes poisonous smog instead of fire. (Stead in another word for place. Just sounds fancier)
And LC? Be realistic here. Where would be the fun in an RP if we could walk through an entire nation of things that want our blood without being scratched. I'm sure IHMN could give you a more complete run-down abuot what's god-moddy with what you've been doing. Now please post around IC and I'll make a new chapter. |
OOC: I have, but then we deleted it (Twice)
IC: Zorha looked at the Wvyern. "Crap..." Slowly he took out his bow. Grey was slowly moving away on his own from the Wyvern. |
OOC: You assume much and forget much young grasshoppa'
I'll start by your assumptions. You assume this is D&D with writing instead of dice. *buzzer sound* Wrong. Enemies are much stronger this thing. They don't stand there while you beat them about the head and shoulders. No one can kill 50 without taking a single hit, I don't care how good you are. Now for what you forget. My RP. Me GM. My choice in the end, not yours. Dear god I thought I'd never have to use that speech. EDIT: The Dark Monk isn't suited for any RP! It's a god! It's just too damn powerful to be in any way shape or form fair. Only in D&D campaigns where becoming a god isn't that uncommon does it make any sense. There are no super lords of all ass-kicking who are completely unscathed at all times in any RP in these forums. IC: Kal watched the wyvern land. "Well don't everybody jump up to help them." He yanked his staff out, and held it in both hands as he pointed it at the wyvern. A levinbolt shot out, and sparkled over it's back. With how weak Kal was, it didn't hurt it much, but pissed it off a whole lot. "Run guys!" |
OOC: I think an army of anything counts as powerful enemies...
|
OOC: This isn't a D&D campaign where you fight, rest, fight stronger enemies, rest, etc. The mission doesn't matter! The bad-guys don't go, "Hey, they're attempting a mission to stop us. Let's go put out insanely strong enemies because of they're deciding to do something." This ain't D&D, this ain't FF.
And dammit! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU!? We aren't using any standard overdone fantasy system abuot how strong monsters are! For all we know we could get our asses kicked by a rabid bunny! IC: The wyvern was snarling now as it turned on Kal and the others. "Guys! I think I just pissed it off! DO SOMETHING!" |
OOC: Monty Python. Enough said about the bunnies
And I don't read enough, and most RPGs only involve humans, so I can't give you a goblin example. But besides dwarves, Goblins are the most technologic race. IC: "It's a giant pissed off monster. We run!" Grey did a full sprint in the opposite direction, running away from the Wyvern. Edit: OOC: Is BM in this RP? |
Argriv was in a bad way. His sword arm was out, he was still 100 yards away from the rest of the party, and to make matters worse, they had just started to run. <damn flanking manuever> No weapon he posessed could help him against the wyvern. That left one thing. Run as fast as he possibly could.
|
ooc: this isn't like warcraft IHMN. This is more like tolkein. Goblins are like small orcs.
|
OOC: Evolved/devolved orcs esentially.
And BM bowed out. IC: Kal grabbed his sword and started running. He skidded to a stop by a hill and noticed a passage. Why hadn't the goblins used it to get to the dwarves? "IN HERE GUYS!" He ran into it. |
All Kishan could think of, in the back of his head as he fled after Kal, was "waiiiiit a minute. what's wrong with this picture."
|
OOC: I know, but aren't goblins often the blowing up stuff race in other series of fantasy?
IC: Zorha turned Grey toward Kal, since inside anything was a good way to escape flying things. |
ooc: not really. Mythologically goblins are like imps.
|
OOC: Lunatic, you made a character just to get that character killed?...right...army killer...and I might join later if my parents see the light...
|
OOC: Wow....nice tirade Lunatic. You keep forgetting this isn't an RPG though. I've read most of those books as well. And the majority of them kick ass. And you seem to assume goblins are small. I can assure you, they're man sized. They're just normally hunched over so they seem small. You keep mesuring this in strength of first enemies to strength of characters. Try RPing around here some more before you try to do something huge like this.
Basically, you wanted me to spoon-feed you. I repeat again, THIS ISN'T AN RPG. For a better example, think. After Richard Rahl got the sword of truth, and could use it, did he become a better fighter? Did Aragorn level up? You should realize that this is a lot more book-ish than RPG before you try again. Sorry you left, try to learn about how this stuff works. |
(OOC: Jeez. I FINALLY got them to settle down a bit last night, and made them delete their argument posts, and then you guys start up AGAIN when I leave. Jeezus.)
Thomas's back was sore from having a damn ogre fall on him. He rushed inside the cave, and leaned back against the wall. "Kal, if you have no objections, may I PLEASE steal from that Wyvern? Just really quickly. Any Wyvern parts sell big at the stores. Just a scale, or a tooth, or something." |
ooc: hey! i didn't bow out! i just havint been able to answer for awile
ic: Sirach aimed and shot the beast in the neck from his place in the tree. |
(OOC: Umm... there's something you should know. There's a new chapter, and since you haven't been on in quite a while, SS killed your character off. Don't be angry at me, just PM SS or something.)
