Anywhere around here, probably, although Christopher Eccleston is from Lancashire specifically.

Yeah, the regions shown there, Liverpool, Lancaster, Newcastle, although all have their specific accents, they're still all Northern.
The only thing that will get confusing is Scotland. Scotland is further north, but a Northern English accent is not a Scottish accent. Wait until the second episode of Season 2 to see a Scottish accent! (It's David Tennant's natural accent, and he uses it for one episode when they visit Scotland). |

Or so I'd of thought, anyway. I can understand not recognising the accent though, it's hard to tell regional accents when you don't live in that specific country. I certianly couldn't identify regional American accents. |
Anyone who says "nay-gurs," "y'all" or "that there" is from the South, anyone who says "pop" is from the North.

Anyway, Vivli, do you think having to put on a different accent from the one he has is why David Tennant sometimes sounds like he's got a mouthful of spit? Every now and then I start feeling bad for Billie Piper because she's not wearing a raincoat. |

Actually, from where I come from, it's pronounced like it should be: Shut The Fuck Up You Racist Bastard.
Then again, we also hate it when Road Island people say idea like ideer. So we're crazy like that. |
