ok. but i have no idea what north britian includes.

No one does. They don't even know. They just PRETEND to know.

Burkion 07-09-2006 09:38 PM

That's just how we say it.

Hint: don't be saying it 'round here either.

The joke goes both ways, my victim.

Mashirosen 07-09-2006 10:19 PM

Sorry, Roy, it's just not that funny a joke when you grow up here. But it's cool, no offense taken really.

ANYWAY, like I said, this is off-topic. Let's all drop it, okay?

Burkion 07-09-2006 11:06 PM

I think we did.

...so, how long till we get the orgasim that is Season Two again?

I more noticed just how high pitch his voice goes. I didn't quite notice the spit thing. But it does go super high. Which is brilliant because it makes him sound hilariously childish, which fits his enthusiasm really well.

No, no, we do know. You see, North is up. Hence, North includes the top half of the country.

Not knowing what North Britain includes I understand though, like I said, if you don't live here, I can't expect you to know our geography. But when they say the Ninth Doctor sounds like he's from the North, it's because he has a Northern accent. Which specific city Eccelstone's from I'm not sure, but I think somebody said it a few pages back.

Roy_D_Mylote 07-11-2006 08:51 AM

Salford, Lancashire.

Man, I'm glad somebody enjoys it when he does that, because it drives me nuts -- especially when he's shrieking about how much he loves humans! I'd rather be called a "styuupid ape" by Nine anyday than be aurally assaulted by Ten's Alien Queen imitation out of affection. :D

I can see how it would be annoying, but it just adds a whole kind of humorous edge to it I find. Mainly when he gets put in a position where the bad guys make a generally very good point, and his reaction is pretty much
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, you COULD do that, sure, you COULD..." and so on. His voice goes incredibly high pitched when he has lines like that, but it's just funny.

Anyway, this is probably the wrong thread to discuss Tennant's performance...
