And yes I know this is probably a one-time joke, but I've seen people say the same thing about the "Forbidden" Episode.

Think of it this way. If Thief was going to sell them out. he would have done it back in Elfland.

He knew he could make some money from both Black belt and Black mage.

Ah, I see. Well, I'm just gonna wait until other people post, and read their opinions. Hmmm.

Think of it this way. What if Thief already HAS betrayed them, but we just don't know about it yet? That, I think, is a perfect way to look at Thief's actions. He does something early, and it takes effect whenever he wants it to.

Yes, I know. I'm too suspicious for my own good. :sweatdrop

Look at it this way, Thief didn't have BB or WM under contract. As such, they are random elements, which are a potential threat. Thief recording BB's weakness is just precautionary.

And while Thief might betray the other Light Warriors for his own benefit, if there's no benefit to be gained, he's fairly happy keeping things the way they are now.

The answer lies in episodes 198 and afterwards. ;)
Thief exposed BB's weakness to BM so he could slip into WM tent undetected. For a price, of course...

Burkion 06-12-2006 04:34 AM

He later found out BB's ultimate weakness: SWORDS!

I have to agree with those who said Thief will betray them if it proves to be more beneficial to him than otherwise.

He was just covering his bases.

YF-23 06-12-2006 01:59 PM

Not really. He needs them as meat-shields and attackers. In other words, they do the job, they take the damage, he wins.

I think you're all putting too much of a "24" twist on this. It's in Thief's best interest to remain part of the team because without them he wouldn't have run into as many opportunities as he has.

Think back to the very beginning, at the light warrior recruitment line. Thief wouldn't have been able to pickpocket so many civilians. Also, the airship seems to be his only means of travel at the moment. He couldn't have built it all by himself, much less piloted it.

All through the series, Thief has needed the other LWs and they've needed him. I don't think we'll be seeing any defections any time soon.
