Do you think Microsoft will make a handheld games machine?
Do you think Microsoft will make a handheld games machine?
Or following the original XBOX will it be backpack sized? I personally don't, simply because they're supporting the DS pretty well (Banjo, MechAssault, Age of Empires). Throwing that kind of support to a rival before launching your own is kind of shooting yourself in the foot, and Microsoft, isn't THAT stupid. |
I think they're much busier putting together an iPod challenger.

Im pretty much sure that it would suck if they did...
the XBOX by itself is pretty much just a "good" console and nothing else... |

And from what I can see of the market A microsoft Handheld really wouldn't work out too well right now with Psp and Ds to contend with; |
What the world makes, Microsoft steals.
Or more accurately, what Nintendo, Dreamcast and Apple makes, Robbie Bach and Peter Moore steals. |
Remember what everyone said right before the XBox launch? "It's going to suck." "Microsoft is just trying to make more money." "What the hell's Halo?"
I think a handheld gamer by them would be successful, but only to a point. Even so, don't they already have...several pocket PCs in production? If they could put enough processing power in them and just enough graphics power to run, say, FF7, and begin to port a whole slew of games onto them, that'd be phenominal. |

There's already a few semi-decent games for the system, here's a good link. Of course, since Microsoft doesn't own the Pocket PC, it'll be more like PC as Microsoft doesn't own said system, so they don't get a piece of every game. Personally, I like the Pocket PC. Well, its just because I can't stand Laptops, & I needed something that was able to access those fancy internets while on the road. True, they got crap for storage capacity (currently they only use CF I/II & SD media cards), but its only a matter of time before somebody starts equiping them with iPod sized hard drives. SWB |
Isn't that what the Origami is?

It's tough to say. Gaming markets these days are dominated by surprising disapointments/acheivements in the game market. I mean, just look at the DS - it was almost a desparation measure, then suddenly, developers said, "Oh, cool!" about the stylus. And now look! Nintendogs, Metroid Prime:Hunters, etc etc etc.
Oh, and also. |
