Mythological Gods Roleplay

No Thors, No Ras, and No Ameraterasu's. All gods must be original, and not from RL.

The topic of the thread is for us to roleplay gods from a Mythological setting. Backstory will begin shallow and small. This is on purpose to make the PC's more important.

How to Advance In Power:
One may advance in powers through worshipers, and making your particular Domain more important. There are other ways you can grow in power, you can ask about them.

Story
Aeons ago there were two gods, Valkrath and Volkath. Volkath was evil, but Valkrath was good. So they battled with eachother for billions of years. Indeed aeons more passed until they finally killed eachother. Their bodies became spirits, which brings us to this point. The Alpha Texts state that the younger gods are perhaps less than single celled creatures than Valkrath or Volkath, but notice that we mortal races are perhaps less to the gods than they are to the Supreme Being.

PC's start as gods in an empty void. (the war of the Two Supreme gods caused much destruction) You may begin to create one very large planet full of life. After that, you may begin to create planets by yourselves.

I have a questioin about the gameplay.

Do we just post what's happening in the world? Are we supposed to pretend to be something like Divine Newsreports?

Because if we are, I call dibs on being the Stephen Colbert

It's supposed to be us being the mythological beings doing our thing. The gods themselves don't report the news. But you may be right in saying the players do.

Manifestation/appearance: He is recognized mostly by the short spikes of silver hair and tan skin, he is also easily spotted by the white robes he wears that are streaked with crimson and golden lines.

King LG Dutiful, wise ruler type.
Wizard NG Wise, knowledgable magician who protects.
Dragon CG Powerful, ancient creature that does as he pleases with respect to others.

He can appear to be a king/ruler of somesort, a dragon, or a wizard. He almost never looks the same based on what species or job he takes, however.

Name: Angieus

Moral Leanings/Psychology: Chaotic

Domains: (AKA FocusofYourPowers): War, Hunting

Manifestation/appearance: #1: A Warrior, Geared in studded leather, Weilding two flaming longswords, Shoulder length brown hair, Grey eyes, steel bracers, Tanned skin.
#2: A hunter, geared in studded leather, flaming longbow, flaming longsword, hunters cloak hood always up to hide his face, companion in this form is a Frost wolf.

Name: Typhon, the Laughing Storm

Moral Leanings/Psychology/Mindset: Typhon is strong and expects his followers to be the same. He favours the mighty but also the noble, there is no good or evil, only honour and shame. He favours pushing ones limits, in battle particularly, as that is where mortals are at their best and their worst, but equally he favours the farmer who struggles against the elements, child who fights against illness and the inventor who dreams the impossible. Wherever there is Conflict there is Typhon laughing against the odds.

Domains: Strength, Weather (granting rain or sending storms) and courage

Manifestation/appearance: When he does manifest himself he can take several forms. The most common and his avatar is a huge man of indeterminable age. A man with a build of titanic, muscular proportions, his skin pale, a great mane of black hair and a great shaggy beard, his body covered in swirling tattoos of sea green, midnight blue and storm grey and a kilt of grey cloth from a broad belt, his eyes a swirling, rolling ball of different shades of grey.

If appearing to mere mortals though he may take on a grander form, a face formed from the clouds themselves with eyes and teeth of crashing lightning, at sea a man formed from the waters themselves, with hair of frothing brine etc. etc.

Hmm do you want details of his cult? The after life he offers? Lol soooo many ideas.
