Will BM ever learn Ultima?
 

In one comic, BM mentioned Ultima, the ultimate magic spell. And here it is.

Do you think BM will ever learn it? We all know that Ultima never appears in FF1, and is replaced by Nuke as the best magic spell. But we also know that 8BT isn't always in tune with the game it's based upon...

I doubt he will. You know, the destruction of the entire universe and all that. Besides, once he does, he's all powerful. No tension, no conflict. Comic's over.

Course he will. It even says he eventually learns the most destructive spell in the univarse and uses it on France.

Seeing as NUKE is only level 8 I would assume Hadoken as a level 9 spell would be far more powerful, and going with the trend, Ultima a spell only existing on the theoretical tenth spell level would be all the greater.

Unless you have a secret message hidden in every fifth letter going backwards, I recognized all the references before I read the last little "too much free time" part. BTW, guest comics are usually not considered canon.

Anyway, he may or may not learn it in the 8BT universe, but I doubt he will in the comic.

I doubt that BM will learn Ultima. Not when Hadoken is so much funnier.

I'm expecting him to learn it, but never get any tenth-level Spells Per Day. There are never too many things for BM to be frustrated over.

Now wouldnt Ultima be replacing NUKE?

Nah, I think NUKE is Flare. Ya know, more heat. From what I remember in FFVII, Ultima was an all magic stuff spell, no elements, no status, pure magic attack..Nuke is fire, so i think its like Fire 4 or something.

Ah, but you forget Ultima is in the THEORETICAL tenth level. It's only a theory. In theory everything works without proof, but unfortunately for poor old BM, there is no solid evidence that the tenth level exists.

And besides, everyone knows the most powerful magic spell in the entire universe is Meteor, the Ultimate Destruction Magic. You may argue that it's only in FF7, but I consider all the FF worlds to exist in one solar system/parallel dimension. Ergo, Meteor is the strongest spell ever. FACT
