Maybe it's not that he'll learn ultima, but finally get the spell components for the spell. Don't forget, without components he couldn't use spells...unless you're in the other final fantasies where you have to learn or absorb them instead of buying them.

I don't think he will, not only will he be way to powerful, but it takes away from the story line, but if he does he does.

Obviously BM will learn Ultima. Surely at some point, some old guy will offer the Ultima spell to BM. RM will take it instead to expand his skill set. BM will have some sort of plot to get it from him, but at the last second RM will throw it out because it's too high of a level to use. Or maybe he'll give it to Fighter to replace his "super bouncy ball"

Basicly, yes he will learn it. When? I dunno..(When he pries it from my cold, dead, fingers.)

He just needs to go to the Junon reactor and start the train. He will then beat up the shinra gaurds and slow down the train by pressing Triangle+up then X+down alternating. Get the huge materia, Then the girl at junon will give him the ultima materia.

Maybe one of the old men he barbaqued had the spell in his pocket and,due to Alzhiemer's, forgot about it.

Heh its like fighter and the armor of invincibility.
the old lady gave him the AMOIrE of invincibility.
he still is invincible, remember Rm used the super bouncy ball to make the invincibility travel sized and fighter put into his armor.

And what does that have to do with what we're talking about?(No offense intended, just a little off topic)

Old people have everything and they mess it up with their old-ness cause the old man had ultima and he forgot cause he is old, and the old lady(whats her name?) gave fighter the wrong thing cause she's old.

Of course this is saying if the old man HAD ultima, otherwise there is no connection
