The new Twinkin Out
It was highly disturbing. If you haven't read it yet. I believe it's the next to last note I'm talking about.
On another note: If that writer isn't totally horrified by what he finds on google, he'll be very...very happy I figure. I also hope that the Gogo theories stop. They keep getting longer and longer and although they make sense, it's a moot point really. :bmage: |

That more, naive little geek... I can see him now...
*Typing in BDSM in Google* "I wander what kind of Roleplaying this is... I hope I can be a el- WHAT THE HELL IS THIS! MY EYES, THEY BURN!" or... "I wander what kind of Roleplaying this is... I hope I can be a el- Oh... Kinky..." (I'm hoping for the first one, it's funnier) |
I disagree where FF7 goes. In FFX-2 I don't remember who but someone metions they are developing a way to extract energy from the earth, which is a reference to extracting mako energy from the ground. So FF7 should go after FFX-2.

That whole thing is just some guy who spent way to much time thinking about it. It's like trying to check if a table is wobbly. If you shake anything hard enough it will wobble, but that doesn't mean it's a wobbly table.

mine wasnt there...
i asked about Inquisitor and Power Swords and everything. |
This guy's timeline theory was interesting, but I found a number of errors in it. For one, there is NOT only one chocobo in FF9... There's also the chocobos in Dali and Chocobo Haven. For another, FF2 can't come after FF9, because the story that you put together at Pinnacle Rock is a part of the plot of FF2. Third, the fragments of the crystals can't be one and the same with Magicite, because Magicite is the remains of Espers that have passed on... and that's just to name a few. The whole thing with Moogles and savepoints was interesting, and pretty logical, though. But all in all, you just can't put all the FF games on the same timeline. There're too may contradictions, it just can't be done. but I guess it can't hurt to try, though. :D

duh, ff7 is a dream induced by licking moogle.

Ya, he didn't answer mine either. I find this one to be filled with fairly intelligent people. Some of the others have had dumb guys with dumb questions. However, I think this intelligence comes at a price. Where was the humor?
The Timeline was actually very involved. I believe that games like the ff series and Zelda series have no timelines or connections to one another, but this one was actually well thought out. I'm gonna go ahead and attach my e-mail if anyone wants to read it. |
Actually, Zelda does.
Every 2 Zelda games is set in the same time period, Zelda 1 +2, Zelda 3+4, Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and the next Zelda? Wind Waker pusposely carries on from Ocarina. They're all set in the same world, the point is that Link, Zelda and Ganon are "Travelling through time" being reincarnated every few hundred years. FF was made with the intention of alternate universes as the series creator said, but I still think there may have been some scope to keep them in the same timelines, just different worlds in some cases, FF9 is obviously following on From FF2, there are lots of little niggles like that. Level of Technology doesn't necessarily matter, FF's world(s) is most likely very diverse. Also, the Torus map loop thing is just a gameplay mechanic and nothing more. Whatever lies outside the boundaries just isn't releveant to this particular game for the most part. Either that, or there are a hell of a lot of towns not marked on the map, most likely both are true. FF8 was probably set after FF7, in the end amination with Nanaki, there is a big building/city that looks very FF8ish. I still say Gogo is Gestahl, he probably fell off the island and got swallowed by Zone eater, that makes sense. They wanted to suggest the possibility it's Daryl certainly. I think both Daryl and Gestahl were in the Zone Eater, I'll save that theory for later. |
