Happy Independence Everyone!
July 1st is Canada's independence (or atleast the day they launch fireworks) and July 4th is America's. I Wish I knew more independce days but here's a thread so everyone can share stories of their favorite independence days celebration and/or what thier doing this year. Yes it is a bit late for some, but you can still tell us what you did!;)
I just went out and bought some Fireworks, 30 bucks worth actually, to set off tonight and hopefully keep all my limbs in tact. I also have some left over from last year. I'm hoping they'll be safe to use still. Anyone have any bad experiences with fireworks? |

Happy Consume Copulous Amounts Of Alcohol And Play With Explosives Day(s)!
I personally watched the fireworks live in Ottawa. Quite a sight, as always, then swam in a pool, listened to a friends band, and participated in a true Canadian ritual: went to Tim Hortons for some donuts. |
Ah yes, Tim Hortons. Canada's, and quite possibly humanity's, BEST achievemant known to date.
In belated news. My cousin's birthday is also July 1st and she lives in Canada. And although she doesn't check or know about the forums. Happy Birthday Jules. ;)Now she can't get mad at me |
Over here in the UK we also celebrate july 4th, but we call it "Let's get a plan to recolonise the bastards".
The cards are less than cute. |
Ah...yesterday was fun. Calling up all the people just to say "Happy Fourth of July"...listening to some bands and a symphony...seeing the International Space Station pass overhead (apparently, anyway)...going to watch fireworks...and of course, getting hit by the falling debris of said fireworks.

All I did on July 4th was play video games. My fireworks were on June 29th for some odd reason. |
Let's keep in mind all the people who died fighting for the freedom we have today (and also give thanks to the people who defend liberty against the government), and of the people fighting for it currently (to end Arab tyranny) and of the people who will die in the future to protect freedom.
Mark Humphrey's is a good website about political freedom. http://markhumphrys.com/politics.contents.html I had a good 4th of july. Fireworks got rained out, though. |

I think that the phrase I am looking for here is, "Why did you have to say that?" That's what you call a great heartfelt message, rooted in deep ignorance and racisim. [/conversation] Edit: Oh yea, to everyone that thinks that the forth is a fun expression of our freedom, Happy fourth. |
i agree w/ adamark but arab tyranny is not the proper phrase, but we should honor the people that have fought for this great country that many of us live in. and pray for the people that are figting for us now. i didnt get to send off my implements of explosion didnt get home from the pro show untill 11 and since im in GA its illegal anyway im sendein em off tonight i got 40 mortor shells or $100 worth
