Games you've wanted but were never able to own

Im sure that there has been one game that you've been after for a very long time and have had no chance of being able to get one.

I have one game like that: Disgaea

The first time I heard of it I didnt really think of pre-ordering one because I was sure there would be enough copies.

Boy was I wrong

For the last few years I havent been able to find a single copy of the damn thing.
Ive seen a ton online but my parents think that the internet is filled with thieves waiting to take your money!

But guess who pre-ordered the sequel this time!

I've never owned a copy of Earthbound. I played it all the way through on rentals, then one day I went to the rental store and they were selling all of their SNES games to make room for the N64 games, and I could only buy one at the time, so I bought Chrono Trigger. I had hoped that I could come back later and buy Earthbound but it was gone when I returned.

Also the same goes with Tales Of Destiny. I played almost all the way through it on rentals until the second disk was scratched, and I was never able to find a copy in any stores.

Ogre Battle 64. Oh My GAWD that game was fun. rented it from blockbuster about 3 times. My friend rented it 6 times. Then what happened? They lose the copy, so both me and my friend miss out. And you know whats worse? Thats the only copy I have ever laid eyes on.

Disgaea, I too have the problem of finding it. This makes me so sad.

The First Super Smash Bros. And Jet Force Gemini. The only(I think) N64 classics that I couldn't play...

You know, I don't feel sympathy for you.

I mean, you own Chrono Trigger, in cartridge form, so, like...stop whining. Jesus.

And, on that note, I really wish I had a copy of Chrono Trigger. But most do.

I'd just like to take a moment to say that I own both CT and Earthbound in cartridge form. Also, I sleep with them sometimes.

Oh, and on topic: The Suikoden games I missed, and all the Ogre Battle games.

Shenmue for the Dreamcast. The DC is the only SEGA system I own, and had I not rented Shenmue, I probably would've regretted having purchased a DC. That said, Shenmue, as well as its sequel for the XBOX, is the best adventure game I've ever played that wasn't a LucasArts adventure game.

Okay, so I have beaten both Shenmue games by renting them enough times, but I want to own them now. Why? Because they're magical.

The Super Smash Bros games, any of em. I simply don't have the consoles that play them, and still refuse to buy AN ENTIRE CONSOLE for one game.

Heres another tale of misery and woe which had a happy ending a year later!

I LOVE Brave Fencer Musashi. I probably rented the hell out of that thing but I was never really able to purchase it. until last year. Back in the year 2004 I was digging through a castle my local EB games employees built on old ps1 games.
(im talking about a real bonafide castle made of game cases; business was slow...)

Anyways my heart skips a beat when I find a case of the aforementoned game! I bring it happily to the counter and what do I get?

"Hmmmm we musta sold it without its case!"

Boy was I heart broken.
One year later in the same store I find another one.
Thank the lord they had it because if it happened again I would have killed the clerk.
