Premonitions, I am giving you your one and only warning. Any further godmodding like that last post and you will be removed from the RP.
que? You're going to have to Help me out here. and. since the story has'nt exactly taken off yet, If I was god-modding, It would'nt have much signifigance. I have'nt done anything outside my character's abilities.

You controlled TB's character. HE may've been able to dodge, or block before you did the time freeze and after. Did you note that or did you just continue on by saying "I never got to do that." ?

Yes, those restraints are acceptable.

Premonitions, it essentially comes down to two cases of completely ignoring effects, something I was feeling lenient on the first time given the circumstances and the godmoddiness of that attack.

While the TK itself is not the problem, its the way you went about it. Using that ability in such a way is abusive since how can anyone defeat you if you can just freeze them and stab them in the head? Given it was called an 'inappropriate dramatic pause' I allowed it upon the assumption it would more be used for humour and possibly as a last ditch defense/attack.

Additionally, it was out of balance power-wise because of the ease with which this was accomplished. Slicing someone into chunks faster than they can see and then kicking them once they look startled does not suggest much parity in power.

Finally, you declared the effect of your attack, it's a fine line to walk when writing acitons but generally one should at least leave the exact extent of the damage to the other person.

...It seems I died again...I guess I better go read the thread.

[EDIT]I'll let it slide this time...but I express the desire to counter-attack...within the rules, of course.

Anyways...dice roll leads me to my Professor Form.

Super human abilities-stronger ,faster, more agile than average human, comparable to spider-man's super strength
yeah, him dodging a superfast slash is not very likely. thing is, most people who don't specifically state their physical abilities think they can pull of shit witha batmanesque creative liscense. I on the other hand, pull off this same shit but within parameters that have already been stated. But rest assured, if my past actions are any example, then I wont be that much of a nusiance, just defending my case.
Edit: me ignoring the "effects" of an average strength human being on my super-humanly strong form? Hell, If you go up and punch freakin BEAST in the gut, you're more likely to break your wrist than actually do damage. I can actually lift a midsize car , but it will not come into gameplay much, since there are others more predisposed to chucking cars on the team. But your attack would'nt have done much, if any actual damage.

This kind of mindset can lead to godmodding quite easily in my opinion. 'Faster than the average human' does not translate to 'ZOMG! I slash so fast yous can't see me lol'. A conceit in the overwhelming superiority of one's own abilities to others is what it comes down to.

Additionally, I see no mention of superhuman toughness and it was not average human strength. Also, enhanced toughness does not mean virtual invulnerability, it just means more of an ability to take a beating and keep going. I might add that as an ability, near invulnerability is something I would tend to frown on, depending on how well it was handled. Thus, your argument there is from incorrect information.

And it's not just toastburner, either. Those of us disliking people randomly teamkilling others for no better reason than "Oh! Oh! It's my turn!" could very easily draw excessively large ranged weapons with our own eye-untracable speeds.

Because rest assured, the only reason Phoenix didn't shoot you was because it'd have been too late to matter.

Flarecobra 07-21-2006 10:13 AM

I agree. That's something that you won't see me do.

Fenris 07-21-2006 11:42 AM

Me neither. I wouldn't even throw him if he was in his Prinny form, unless he asked me to.

I hope to god I don't get teamkilled in this game, because if that happens, I don't come back. I'd just say something along the lines of "Oops, I'm dead!" and not post again unless revived by one of the dieties or by a magic caster or somethin'.
