8-Bit Theater gets parodied!
I don't know if you guys have already seen this, but a minor sprite comic I read, "Captain SNES: The Game Masta" had a crossover with "16 Bit Theater" in which Captain SNES takes on the "Sufficiently Illuminated Warriors", Warrior, Dark Mage, Crimson Mage, and Rogue. (They're represented by sprites that look like they came from one of the remakes of Final Fantasy.)
Here's links to the relevant strips. They don't appear consecutively in the comic's archives, so you'll be better off following the links. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 and Epilogue I think you will be amused at how the battle finally ends. ;) |
That was really well done.

Hey, a win is a win, that's all I'm saying.

What he did to Rogue in part 4 was really clever, it would probably work on Thief.
And the Gamemasta thing on RM was gold. |
God I love me a parody.
|
Well, I'm off to read me some Captain SNES!
|
I'm not even done reading Captain SNES. I never knew they had that. I seriously need to finish reading, I haven't finished after months of first reading it...
[EDIT] Although I do remember a comic that involved Captain SNES blasting Fighter because he was so annoyed by Fighter's constant "I like swords". And he blasted several other people too. |
Lol, that was good.
However we all know that if it was the 8-Bit Theater cast Thief would have made him sign a contract forfeiting his life or something. And btw, these are the sprites used for the Wonderswan and (later on) the GBA remake (the Wonderswan Warriors?). |
Man you guys are only finding that just now, I would have linked it when it started a year ago if I knew that. I am an SNES regular it was my first webcomic.
|
One question, what's the deal with the lack of pants? If I try reading this comic from the beginning, I know it'll be a while before I figure out what happened, so I wouldn't mind if somebody cleared all this up for me.
Thanks in advance... SWB |
