OOC: Wheeee! SWORDITY!

IC:
Kishan, still on the same floor as Exmoore, nodded distractedly. Well....if the Harlequin was really all that important....then obviously it was a bad thing that the bad guy had it. So the first job was to get it away from him. But how? Generally you don't just go up to insane lords of the undead and say "May I please have that priceless and powerful ancient artifact you're holding?"

And then it occurred to him....getting the Harlequin away from Exmoore didn't neccessarily mean getting him to let go of it.

Using all his athletic ability, Kishan lept and tumbled through the undead throngs towards Exmoore, with well placed blows of his runed (ehe. : P) scimitar clearing the way.

The only truly troublesome moment was when, while trying to push off a nearby zombie, instead of landing on the zombie's skull, as intended, he hit the chest instead. And sunk in up to his ankle. But that was easily remedied.

Reaching the area near Exmoore, Kishan gave a battle cry and threw his dagger, neatly pinning the wrist attached to the Harlequin to the wall. As Exmoore instinctively tried to pull it free (and was distracted), Kishan dove in and separated said arm from the evil guys's body. Easy enough, right?

And then he realized.....that now he was trapped between an extremely angry lord of the undead and a powerful magical artifact. And the guy's arm, but that was beside the point.

"Uh guys? A little help here?" he said as he battled to keep Exmoore away from the wall behind him, and stay alive at the same time.

Dante 01-20-2004 07:45 PM

OOC: I don't think any of the heavy hitters can help you, or even get to you in the first place...

BIC:
Alka saw Zorha getting off his horse and begin mixing the ingredients.

"Fan-freaking-tastic."

He unslung his axe and cut a swath through the zombies, sending arms, legs and heads flying every which way before he finally reached Zorha. He looked back at the healer as he set himself properly on the ground.

"Okay, you kill the zombies while I mix the oils."

Then a shambling zombie came, so Alka punctuated his comment by splitting it half open with his axe and kicking the torn remains away.

"See? it's easy!"

IHateMakingNames 01-20-2004 07:45 PM

The one zombie that Alka brought over was enough to scare Grey, making the horse run off. Zorha noticed this to late, then quickly pushed everything into his bag, then got up and ran after Grey. "Stupid dwarf!" Zorha yelled back at the stupid dwarf.

Dante 01-20-2004 07:54 PM

"Hey, I don't dictate where these guys go! And if you want to talk about stupid, who's the guy who sits down in the middle of a war zone and mixes potions like he was in his shop!"

Of course, by then, more zombies had come to play, so Alka had to be a gracious host... and dismember them.

Raiden 01-20-2004 08:27 PM

(OOC: He's a thief/ex-ninja. He's going to be fast, but he can't take much damage. That's the trade off. Notice that when the goblin from the fight before punched him, he went flying. He doesn't take hits well. His speed is all he has. And it's a good thing that the dagger does a ton of damage to them, because he ain't that strong, neither. But, I'll tone it down.)

"Well excuuuuse me! It's not my fault he's still alive! Usually when you put a long dagger in a guy's back, he's dead!"

Thomas felt his dagger's hilt was getting a little hot. Even through his leather gloves, the temperature was a little more than uncomfortable.

"Shit. This thing's getting hotter each time I attack. I better go back to my normal ones for a bit, and let this dagger cool off." Thomas quickly put the dagger into some non-flammable material in his pack. He then pulled out his two normal daggers, and spun them in his hands.

"Here we go!" Thomas went in for an attack, and dug his dagger into a zombie's chest. The zombie looked down at his chest, and then looked at Thomas with a look of question on it's face. Thomas frowned.

"Shit. Things just got a whole lot harder."

IHateMakingNames 01-20-2004 08:29 PM

OOC: Your not really making that trade off often though...

IC:
Zorha finnaly caught up to Grey, who had stopped at a spring far off. Luckily, being a wood elf, long runs really didn't tire Zorha out. However, when looking back at the undead castle, he noticed he couldn't see it anymore.

"Well shit..." Zorha mumbled to himself, sitting down. Reopening his bag, Zorha continued to make the oils.

CelesJessa 01-20-2004 08:34 PM

Yuniko continued pinning the creatures down... "Dammit, I can't do this forever!" She said as she took a running start and vaulted herself off of the head of an attacking zombie. She landed effortlessly on a pillar, broken after years of wear and struggle. It wasn't very tall or sturdy, but it kept her out of the reach of the zombies until she could figure out a different strategy to defeating them. She crouched in a cat stance, observing the battle and checking to see how many throwing knives she had left.

Lycanthrope 01-20-2004 08:34 PM

Argriv headed towards Zorah and Alka, cutting his way through those zombies between them. "Did I hear Purification Oils? Wouldn't that hypothetically work like poison to the undead?"

Dante 01-20-2004 08:55 PM

"It would, but try to keep away from the healer. He'll go all hissy and throw a fit if his *untethered* horse runs off again."

Lycanthrope 01-20-2004 09:11 PM

<Hmm> Argriv had never been good with animals. He possitioned himself so that the dwarf was between himself and the horse.

IHateMakingNames 01-20-2004 09:12 PM

OOC: You realize Zorha can't even see the castle anymore... You two aren't near him...

Darth SS 01-20-2004 10:39 PM

Kal's staff end and sword were slowly being reduced to flashes of light.

"Hypothetically speaking, I can charge any purified oils, which in turn wipe out undead pretty damn easily. But since Zorha will remain forever the cowardly coward that he is, we're basically hosed unless Kishan kills Exmoore."

IHateMakingNames 01-20-2004 10:41 PM

OOC: He's not a coward, just he cares more about his horse then any of you guys.

IC:
Zorha had finished the oil, and made a dozen bottles full, and one leaky bag. Getting back on Grey, he held out a home made horse feed he made infront of Grey's face. Moving forward to get the food, then the food moved forward, so Grey started running after it. This was the only way Zorha could think of getting his horse near the undead again.

Lycanthrope 01-20-2004 10:45 PM

OOC: Great. The world needs saving. The apocalyps is nigh. What does he care about? the fact that his horse seems to be spooked by all this.

"Reguardless, I hope that healer gets back here soon. I'm not sure how much longer we can fight them off"

Squishy Cheeks 01-20-2004 10:52 PM

"We can't hold out much longer." Peter said. "Hurry up." James said.

gh0st 01-20-2004 11:37 PM

Obviously no help was forthcoming for Kishan. Dammit. He had to end this fast.

Parrying frantically, Kishan kicked Exmoore's knee backwards, and then feinted towards his eyes with his free hand. Having spent an entire lifetime protecting his eyes, Exmoore took the feint, covering his eyes....

and giving Kishan time to drive his new scimitar through the man's heart, and run him backwards to pin him to the opposite wall from the Harlequin.

He was still alive. And Kishan was out of weapons.

He grabbed up the frying pan and commenced to beating the pinned undead lord about the head and shoulders with it.

IHateMakingNames 01-20-2004 11:39 PM

Grey, to focused on the delicous treat infront of him, didn't notice he ran right back into the graveyard. While Grey passed Kal, Zorha threw the bag containing the bottles of the oil at him. Soon after that, Grey got the food from Zorha's hand, ate it, then saw the zombies. Again, Grey ran away, taking Zorha with him.

Darth SS 01-20-2004 11:40 PM

Kal tossed vials out to everyone and said, "Put it on the business end!!"

He did so on his sword so he didn't have to use any more magic, then stabbed a zombie.

It spazmed violently as it shook itself into ashes.

Forever Zero 01-21-2004 12:02 AM

Vace poured it on his sword, and smiled wickidly as he saw Kal stab a zombie and it disintigrated. "Now vengence is mine, foul undead things!" Vace said, and charged into the zombies, hacking and stabbing, making zombies nearly explode around him from the fury of his blows.

Dante 01-21-2004 12:29 AM

Alka grinned from ear to ear as he anointed his armor and his axe with the oil.

"You want to know how to get the undead? I'll show you how to get the undead!"

He saw a shambling zombie and put his fist clean through its head, guffawing as it disintegrated to dust.

"They pull a crossbow, you pull a ballista!"

He seized another one and cackled at the sound its undead flesh made as the oil touched it, then slammed it to the ground and kicked its head off, sending it flying.

"They send one of your guys to the healer, you send one of their guys back to the ground!"

He drew his axe and hewed a path towards Kal, then placed himself solidly between the zombies and them.

"That's how you get the undead!"

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 01:46 AM

"Great" said Argriv, pooring some on his sword and dagger. He was in familiar territory now. He now moved around behind the undead and began stabbing and cutting his way through them. It was great. Their slow reaction time made it all the easier. It would be over soon. Unless, of course, there was more up this undead lich-thinger's sleave...

Raiden 01-21-2004 09:31 AM

Thomas grabbed a bottle while still trying to push off the zombie that was attacking him. His normal dagger was still stuck in the thing's chest, and he couldn't get it out.

"Back off, evil undead!" Thomas dumped the oil on his two daggers. The dagger that was still in the zombie exploded. Thomas smiled as he twirled his two daggers.

"Yes! The power is mine again!" Thomas then proceeded to slash at any zombie getting close to him.

CelesJessa 01-21-2004 08:36 PM

Yuniko caught one of the vials and proceeded to cover her knife in it. She tucked the remaining drops of the liquid away, then she jumped down, decending upon the zombies like an eagle attacks a mouse in a feild.
She fluidly sliced through ones that were trying to attack her, while making her way around to the ones she had pinned down, so she could 'kill' them and retreave her shurikens and throwing knives that she had used.

Dante 01-21-2004 09:25 PM

Alka noticed Yuniko fighting out fo the corner of his eye. She wasn't bad.

"Nice moves, girl!" he shouted as he introduced a boot to a zombie's face.

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 09:26 PM

"Someone explain to me why we didn't get this oil stuff before we got to the castle?" Argriv said, as he stabbed yet another zombie.

Dante 01-21-2004 09:35 PM

"Because somebody was telling us not everything's a trap, and so on?"

Alka was taking a break from killing the zombies, and decided to lean against a nearby wall and watch the others fight.

CelesJessa 01-21-2004 09:37 PM

Yuniko spun around as she landed a few shurikens into a zombie's skull, knocking him over, then she proceeded to stab him with her potion-laced dagger.

"Thanks," she called back to Alka, "It's what I was trained to do... even though if I never trained to kill zombies before..."

Dante 01-21-2004 09:39 PM

"Don't worry about it, remember, the first part of defense is not getting hit, and you're covering that just fine."

Alka tripped a nearby zombie and decapitated it from a sitting position.

"Damn, I hate undead flesh."

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 09:46 PM

"Shouldn't we do something about Exmoor? What do we have that will hurt him bad enough?"

Squishy Cheeks 01-21-2004 09:54 PM

With the purification Oil the twins had soundly turned the tide of deadthings in they're area. now they stayed dead. Peter picked up his polaxe out of the quagmire of the battle field. he poured the last of the oil from his vial onto the head.

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 09:56 PM

OOC: I don't even want to know where that's going.

Dante 01-21-2004 10:02 PM

"Well, I'm not a flitting shadow like ninja girl over there, so the only way you're getting me up to Exmoore is with a catapult."

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 10:09 PM

"Good point," said Argriv leaning beside the dwarf. "I'm not to lithe myself."

Dante 01-21-2004 10:12 PM

OOC:

*lithe.

BIC:

"Oh, watch out behind you!" Alka said as a zombie approached from behind Yuniko. She stabbed it neatly in the eyes and cut its throat out before moving on to the next one. Alka casually chopped its head in half as it hit the ground and looked around.

"Shouldn't the wizard be doing something now?"

Darth SS 01-21-2004 10:15 PM

Exmoore gasped between the blows. "He....he.....he....said...." then he finally slumped dead.

***

The last of the necrontyr shrieked in their agony. Then all the flesh and bones collapsed. And became quite very stinky.

Kal coughed against the stench and said, "Hey Kishan, you alive?"

"His blood is purple. And it's all over my sword. Oh, and I got the 'Arlequin."

The frying pan was tossed down, followed by Kishan.

Kal shuddered and said, "Let's get out of here before the next heir shows up. I personally want to avoid that nightmare."

Mentally, Kal locked down various sites in his mind and tried to figure out the best plausible course. They were near the shadowed mountains....

"Grab what you need, we're going to visit the Dark Elves. And don't mind that we go through one of the accident sites."

An accident site was where the northen realms and southern realms never met. Basically, it was unformed and prone to any manner of things to come out.

Last time Kal had been there, he'd been captured and almost barbequed by a set of pink rabbits dressed in green gay (as in homo-sexual. Tight crotch and stuff, with the feather) wood elf impersanations. It wasn't an experience he wanted to repeat.

Kal looked outside, then walked onto a hill. He could already see a tiny flit. "Oh shit. How the hell does he react so damn fast? HEADS UP! MARAUDERS! GET MOVING, LEAVE WHAT YOU DON'T NEED!"

Dante 01-21-2004 10:17 PM

Here we go again...

Alka slung his axe up again and moved over to Kishan, pointing to the Harlequin.

"Don't lose that."

IHateMakingNames 01-21-2004 10:18 PM

Grey came charging past them all, now running from the marauders.

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 10:20 PM

Argriv didn't need to be told twice. He ran. <I seem to be doing that alot> he mused. "Kal? What are Marauders?"

Dante 01-21-2004 10:20 PM

"Not that damn horse again..."

Darth SS 01-21-2004 10:20 PM

"We aren't fighting. There's at least a legion out there. We don't fight, we run. We run like little scared sissies. To the Shadowed Mountains, and the Dark Elves."

Squishy Cheeks 01-21-2004 10:25 PM

"Dwarves don't run like sissies." James said. "Yah, we cower like chickens." Peter finished

Darth SS 01-21-2004 10:27 PM

"Run or die. Your choice. I personally have no urge to be run down by crazed mad-men who're serving the Lord of all Evil, just because they like the pention plan."

CelesJessa 01-21-2004 10:29 PM

"Dark elves aren't all as bad as you're making them sound." Yuniko commented before turning and running along with the others. She was always up for a good fight, but she knew when the odds were against her, and she was sticking with the group anyways.

Forever Zero 01-21-2004 10:30 PM

"I never run from a good fight!" Vace said heroiclly, but after a few seconds he was running with the rest, and he said, "I just advance in the opposite direction..."

Dante 01-21-2004 10:30 PM

"Run, run! Or you'll be well done!"

Kal gave him a strange look and Alka returned it.

"They *do* like to barbeque people, right?"

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 10:30 PM

"Screw that! I run!" Argriv said. "And I'm damn proud of it!"

Forever Zero 01-21-2004 10:33 PM

OOC: How many running quotes are we going to whip out... cause here's another!

"Better to live and run today, to live to fight another day." Vace said.

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 10:35 PM

OOC: Yeah, given the nature of this campaign, we're going to need to reserve our running quotes for later.

Squishy Cheeks 01-21-2004 10:37 PM

OOC: The classic.

"RUN AWAY!!!!"

Forever Zero 01-21-2004 10:39 PM

OOC: Now all we need is a Trojan Rabbit... Man, so many good quotes, and so many opportunities to use them. What a great RP. Good thing Vace decided to get those padded steel boots before he went on this mission...

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 10:41 PM

OOC: Where are spiders when you need them.

Dante 01-21-2004 10:42 PM

OOC: Hey, they're drow, there's spider everywhere.

Lycanthrope 01-21-2004 10:44 PM

OOC: Point, but we haven't reached there yet. Speaking of which, isn't it about time we started a new chapter?

Darth SS 01-21-2004 10:44 PM

OOC: New thread!!!!

*trumpet sounds* This is the longest any of my RPs have ever lasted. :D
