Dead Man's Chest Discussion 2: Revenge of the Quickening Boogaloo!
Quote:
I enjoyed the movie. Could have used more swashbuckling, especially made by that fight choreographer who is on CRACK. And rumor is they finally got Keith Richards to cameo as Sparrow, Sr. in the third movie. RUMOR! |
That would be so many levels of awesome. I heard he got a cameo, but whether he's playing Jack's father "is up to interpretation," says the director.
DUN DUN DUNNNN!!!! |
Ha! Watch it be "Lord Becket Sr." and be completely obvious. Like a brick to the nuts.
|
Keith is playing his father...or so I have heard...I'm pretty sure they made it official...also from what I hear they have finished filming all of Keith's parts...also once this dumb thing starts working again I'll post what I thought about the second movie...wow people have seen the second and already we're speculating about the 3rd...I guess we'll just have to wait a year....

This may be a wee bit overdone, but OH MY GOD THAT IS THE BEST THING EVER.
EDIT: Six hundred posts, baby. |
Why is the subtitle of this post not Electric Boogaloo? It is required by law to be so.
|
Because "The Reckoning" is an equally valid sequel subtitle. So, bugger off.
|
"After the Apocalypse" would have been nice, too. Adds a bit of excitement, don't you think?
Anywho, for something on topic: What do you guys think will happen to Lord Beckett and his creepy assassin buddy in the final film? I say Davy Jones is forced to team up with Will and Company to regain the heart, after which Jones takes Beckett aboard his crew. Either that, or Jack kills him as revenge for the nasty brand Beckett gave him. |

He might just die like a punk, and then they start the real fight. It could go a lot of ways, with him. Quote:

Well I just went and saw it with my dad and there is little I can contribute. It is kick-ass injected with awesome, the beginning was slow so that you had time to readjust your face before it got rocked off (as said by Maddox about Dawn of the Dead) and everything from the stoyy to the jokes to the fights are well-balanced etc. etc. Well I really enjoyed the flavor by giving detail to Davy Jones' crew, while keeping their appearances consistent rather than making random aquatic-looking pirates every scene. At the end where you see Barbosa walking down the steps, I already half-suspected it was him. "A captain that knows the waters", who we can assume is someone we know from the first movie due to the suspense, and the fact that all of the other captains from the first movie has already made an appearance.
And the Transformers preview managed to take me off guard in a good way. |
