Back by popular demand, it's the Soldiers of Light RP! This was an RP in the Nuklear Power forums back in the old WoT forums, and apparently a lot of people liked it. So, it's back again! People that were in it before can even use the same characters from before. I know I am! Alright, here's the story.

The story first begins over a thousand years before the events in the RP take place. The demon king Takura rules the world with an iron fist. His demon armies are all over the globe, and none are strong enough to defeat Takura. Except for one man. His name was Tama. Tama found a forge-demon that hated Takura. Takura had killed the demon's family, and sentenced the demon to an eternity of work making weapons. Tama agreed that he would release the demon from his curse, if the demon would make him a weapon. So, the demon did. The weapon is named the Raigaki. The Raigaki is a katana that was made of a strange metal, and was folded over a thousand times, to be sure that there were no impurities. The Raigaki had many strange powers based off of light. Taking the Raigaki, Tama freed the forge-demon and set out to confront Takura. In the fight between Takura and Tama, Tama managed to seal away Takura's body. With his job done, Tama put the Raigaki away where no one could find it, and settled down to a life of peace.

It's now a thousand years later. Takura has found a way to revive his body, and the only thing keeping him from doing that is a man called Kurama Genkai. He intends to use the Raigaki to destroy Takura once and for all, with the help of some people he meets along the way. (Anyone else see an anime plot here?)

This will be set around the Mideival Era Japan. Guns have JUST been introduced, but people still use bladed weapons.

Anyway, that's the story. Now, there are a few specific things for characters here. In this RP, we need both Good guys and Bad guys. If you're a bad guy, you need to remember that you are going to lose in the end. Also, this RP is big on swordplay. So, there can be sword-based magic, but I only want at most one or two mages on the good or bad side. As for races, you can be either a human or a demon. But what you decide to have your race be won't decide whether you're good or bad. You can be a demon that's good, or a human that's bad. It doesn't matter. But, if you're going to be a demon, you need to say what kind you are. There are many different demons. So, here's the profile below.

Name: Hoshi
Class: Ronin
Race: Human
Type: Samurai caste
Weapons: Katana, Wakizashi, Tessen (An Iron fan), Sake bottle
Appearance: Unkept. Dirty Brown Kimono with white trim. Hakama. unwashed black hair. Unkept top knot. unshaved face, stubbly face. Brown eyes. Muscular. Smells of alcohol and body odor
Armor: If he wears armor, light do maru armor
Bio: Hoshi once served a lord faithfully. His lord however was slain infront of his eyes by a ninja assassin. Hoshi vowed to avenge his fallen lord. It's been ten years since then and Hoshi still wanders. He has since taken up drinking sake to much, He barely remembers who once was, all save for the revenge he swore.
Any Special Abilities:
Quick draw strike: The ability to draw his sword so quickly the opponent can't react. The Strike is also far more powerful than a normal strike

Falling Star Strike: Hoshi jumps in the air and brings his blade down with a fiery explosion..

Fire and wind Strike: He fights with his katana and fan. The katana busts into flame and he uses the fan to create gusts of wind (Not learned yet)
Tornado Strike: He focuses his chi to create a cyclone which he launches with his fan, at an opponent, Think Auron (Not learned yet)

Firebreath attack: He takes a swig of sake and breathes out a stream of fire.

Assassins bane: Hoshi has learned how to defeat the techniques of an assassin with a simple Iron fan. He uses his fan to defeat their techniques.

Name: Zankuro

Class: Yojimbo

Race: Demon

Type: Demon Swordsman

Weapons: His katana, the Nosada

Appearance: See bottom of the post.

Armor: None. A good swordsman should never be hit.

Bio: Zankuro was originally summoned to Earth by Takura to be his lieutenant. He was one of the last to be defeated by Tama, who forced him to swear an oath to protect the one who took up Raigaki. In addition to that, Zankuro's personal blade, the Zanmato was taken and thrown into the Demon Zone. Ever since then, he has wandered the world, bound here by his oath until the Raigaki was destroyed or if someone should slay its wielder.

Now that Kurama has set out on his quest to stop Takura, Zankuro is bound by honor to follow his current master to the bitter end. The truth is stranger than fiction, though. A thousand years on earth has changed him. While still sardonic and disdainful of idiots and fools, he has a softer side which he rarely shows as he travels the world in search of wine, women and song (preferably singing beauties serving him wine). His skills however, are not as good as you might have expected from a demon swordsman who was supposed to be training for a thousand years.

He quests to slay Takura not simply out of duty, but also becuase he wants to pay out the master who threw him in Tama's way so that he could prolong his miserable life.

Any Special Abilities:

Most of Zankuro's sword techniques relied on the Zanmato - without it, he is thus weakened, though still dangerous. These are the moves he can still do without it.

Izuna - A simple poke which delivers an impact at range. Quite strong, can KO a normal human in one hit.

Majinken - A very powerful sword technique, Zankuro slashes/thrusts once and an shockwave streaks forth. This blade has incredible cutting power and can create a massive blast if it hits something hard.

Shin Majinken - Even more powerful than the regular Majinken, the Shin Majinken is said to be able to reach supersonic speeds, creating a sonic boom that blows everyone around Zankuro and the path of the blast away.

Mashin Senkou Zan - The refinement of the Majinken, the MSZ concentrates Zankuro's demonic powers into a blast of searing light that obliterates its victim. This is the move Zankuro created after witnessing the Raigaki in action, and is a nod to Tama's skill.

Tamakari - A very rare grappling move, but one he is forced to use now that his Zanmato is gone. Zankuro reaches into his enemy's chest, rips out his soul and crushes it. It requires a lot of time to gather the energy to focus it, but it is effective on most living adversaries.

Rasengan - A horrifically destructive fist technique, Rasengan is the focusing of ki into the hand. This ki is essentially a self-contained tornado in globular form, and when it is forced into solid matter, it releases, causing horrific devastation to the luckless victim.


He also has inordinately sharp senses, bordering on ESP-levels at times, as well as demonic speed and strength.

Extra: His Majinken and Shin Majinken handle just like they did in Bastard! (So Raiden should know). The Mashin Senkou Zan is somewhat new, though, and won't be used so early.

Oh man, I wish I could dig up my old profile so I don't have to rewrite, but I will just because this rp rocked so much until the end.

Class: Assassin
Race: Human
Weapons: Large bladed sword with runes and magical incantations etched in it. Poisonous shurikens in her gauntlets.
Appearance: Silver hair which is always braided and green eyes, 6"2. Where's traditional assassin garb complete with cloth mask over her nose and mouth.
Armor: Light ninja armour over traditional black body suit.
Bio: Jade was once a feared assassin. She killed without remorse and without second thoughts. However, all that changed when her best friend and secret love Koji, also an assassin, decided to leave the ranks. The elders of her clan didn't take too kindly to his desertion so they sent her out to kill him. She found him in the woods, but could not bring herself to kill her friend, however Koji was so overcome with grief after all the killing that they had done over the years, that to save his and her soul, he jumped off a cliff and ended his life. Jade could not go back to the clan after that and now wanders around helping out whomever she can to repent for her and Koji's sins.
Any Special Abilities: Invisibility: Jade can turn invisible for however long she pleases. However, her body still emits energy when this happens, so any demon who can concentrate long enough on her can "see" her aura.
Elemental Magic: Jade can channel her energy through the various runes on her sword and perform elemental magic. However, this leaves her drained until the energy returns to her.
Favorite Quote: "Kill you? Well I'm a little rusty but I'll try."
Extra: hmmm....nothing right now

I'll be Reaper and Grim again, but lets just say that there still in the Demon Zone till I get ungrounded.

Who are these guys? Some of us *points to self while looking around nonchalantly* may not know...

Grim-Basically the Grim reaper with soul powers (can kill and harvest demons souls for their powers, and can capture human's souls to take over their bodies)

Reaper-10 foot tall 'man', horribly strong, uses gigantic hook swords, dumb as a rock

They have a George and Lenny type relationship. (Grim=George, Reaper=Lenny)

I really hope Raiden doesn't repeat what killed this RP last time... Luckily thouhg, I shall be here from the begining, so he won't be able to make his guy uber-powerful...

Hopefully Raiden won't even try to do the powers the sword could do last time (Especially the 12 Kurama one), and most others were to much.
