Thats right. After reading an article about this in PC Gamer i checked out the website and low and behold, a mod team is modding warcraft 3 to become a sequel to Starcraft. Not a remake, a sequel. All i can say about this is it's about damn time. Even if it's not being made by Blizzard, i think it's high time for more Starcraft action.

So what do you think?

I can see Blizzard killing this faster then the rabid Old Yeller just because it would ruin their glory when they made theirs....

nah, blizz don't care.
They are pretty much fine since its a wc3 mod.
its been in the works since patch 1.4 so they have had a while tokill it.

Square took its liberty getting around to killing Chrono Trigger 3d, upon a time.

Maybe Blizzard's a more tolerant company, but I'm not trying to get exited about this until I see something solid.

After portal, people will try anything to get themselves hired...

They start working on starcraft 3d Remake, they make some buzz about it, and hoping that Blizzard will see it and hire them to work on a REAL starcraft 3d project by blizzard...

After all... they could just as easily make it a game based on the concept of Starcraft, but completly different... without the fear of trouble or having to shoot it down...

Anyone remenber the Quake Mod "DBZ: Bid For Power" ?

Starcraft, as the only RTS game I've ever played, could definitely use a facelift. I probably won't play it, though, since I am absolutely awful at RTSs. I just build up my base forever and eventually send out a strike force that always gets its ass kicked.
