E3 cancelled?

They do have a point about the publishers. How many people went straight for the big names and just forgot about the lesser known games? Im sure a lot of people did. |
Personally, I can't imagine the industry going without an E3-like event. Yeah, it might be scaled down in comparison, and it won't be necessarily called E3 anymore, but I think there will be one convention or another that takes the place of E3.
And from the sounds of it, it'll be more public friendly too. Which is always nice. SWB |
Wow this kinda sucks.
It really doesn't affect me. I could never go to trade shows becuase of the money it took to get there, plus the money for tickets along with the cost of getting things from E3. If anything this will spawn shows just for the company one for Nintendo, Sony ,and for Microsoft. |

Oh, how the news grows out of control. I doubt it's being outright cancelled, but rather that it's being shrunk down, to cater to a more professional crowd. It will become an actual industry convention, instead of one as large as the past few years. That is, not public.

i call shenanegans on this. i mean, i know E3 has been a meaningless media frenzy as of late, but i mean, its our meaningless media frenzy tradition. you don't see the NFL canceling the superbowl just because people are more interested in the commercials than they are the sport. |
