How did he make the book??!?
I was just wondering about the process that is undergone in the creation of a book.
You know, what program it was made in (any specifics?), how to get a publisher, getting it available to others.... this is a question for Brian, but if there is anyone else who can help me, please do so. Reason for asking: I want to write a story version of something i have in my head, but I don't know how i'd get it published. |
I would worry about getting it written long before I ever worried about getting it published.
This advice is of course based in the absolute scads of experience I have in doing both of these things. Okay, so that's a lie. But it might be good advice, hypothetically speaking. |
I, unlike some people, actually have a novel written in full. So, please, someone answer his question!
Wait, I know the answer. He used iUniverse. Google it. |
k. I have some notes on the first fifth of the book on my desk here, and I was just curious about the publishing part. Although I WOULD like to get it published.
Anybody here think I should use Microsoft word to write it? |

p.s. I'll change it after I finish writing the first chapter of my story. |
Actually I do know how books are published, You send a hard copy to a publishing company, like schoolastic. There it is judged, If the company likes it they publish it. For every book sold, you get some percentage % or something of the profits.
P.S. schoolatstic sucks! |

Yes, this is how most books are published, but he wanted to know how Nuklear Age was published. Nuklear Age was not published this way. |
Also, I can't imagine most authors need particular software for just writing. I mean heck, not 2 decades ago it was done completely on a type writer. any kind of word processor will work. Fancy things like formatting and spell checking can be left up to your editor.

Yeh, I did want to know how Nuklear Age was published, because Brian isn't an "Insider", with plenty of books and a proffessional publisher like scholastic. But it's nice to no what other people do anyways. Thanks.
