Maybe I'm behind everyone else, but it was new to me at least. Neat picture of the Ark slamming into a mountain, and a dramatic score of the TF theme. Neat really.

In related notes - Does anyone hate Transformers: Energon/Armada/Cybertron as much as I do? Hell I love CG, since Beast Wars was what got me into TF. But the shitty plot and constant hijacking of the movie's script is really starting to irk the shit out of me, along with the constant of "Megatron and Prime have to die like, eight times!"

Can we just go back to the Megatron's Weapon of Doom, Autobots Run to Stop Him?

I don't hate it, I'm just not into it. And to be fair, G1 even had its moments where it was on par with the new Armada/Energon/Cybertron.

The biggest differences I see, are that these new series have a consistant plot (which admittedly isn't very good) & try to involve the human element of TFs a bit more. And they're about as gimmicky as the Pretenders/Micromachines error (whoops, I mean era) of Transformers. If they just didn't dumb down the characters so much, it might even be watchable, maybe even enjoyable.

Of course, that may be going a bit far. Regardless, we do have these series to thank for keeping the TF series alive, & maybe even for Japan producing our Masterpiece goodness. If Cybertron is responsible for my Hybrid Style G1 Optimus Prime, well I say any pain was worth it.

And the poster is right, Optimus DOES look like Megas XLR.

Wouldn't this make more sense in the animation section? Just saying...

On topic, Optimus looks awesome. I don't care if he isn't the 'classic' design or not, this new one looks just as good to me.

It's the "Razor-Barbed Vagina Face" Megatron that disturbs me.

I always think at times that they shouldnt have bothered going further than the original series, I've seen many of the original series episodes and the film of that which was kick ass for a kids cartoon! Plus the attitude they had at each other most of the time was quite funny with the ammount of criticising and name-calling, though in transformers energon, and the one with the mini bots it seemed all but lossed. Just there as a gimmick to sell products. This trailer looks quite kick ass and worth watching though, I have a few hopes. I had been hearing quite a bit about it lately anyhow starting with a CAD announcement.

It says this is a 2nd thread, so I think I might look a bit and see if I can find the first and get some more info on this film (characters being used and plot perhaps)
