El wandered into the bar, ordering a Hard Lemonade, and getting carded for it.
"Hey guys....what's up?" |
"Hello Squirt." John said.
|
(OOC: Dude, where's my Gauss cannon? It's not in the list!)
Samuel walked into the bar. He needed a drink. The salesman he had finished talking to was trying to cheat him out of his money by raising the prices on the parts. Of course, Samuel took care of it in his usual fashion. It's amazing what people will do to keep their eyes in their sockets. He was having his Legionnaire equipped with his new weapons. And he still had enough to get hammered. He walked up to the bar. "Give me something that'll kill a few braincells." The bartender poured him a glass of dark brown liquid. He took a drink. It burned going down. |
(OOC) Geez, thanks for waiting for me!
|
(OOC: Hey, I was lost, too. I just had an excuse.)
|
ooc: recap if you got lost. We are on free form holiday till I work some kinks out of the combat system. You have your paycheck. I listed how much your net pay is. Also I'm going to be working on a reload cost per ton so the 200 ammo reload will not be surviving. and Raiden the gauss gun is still there it's listed under Rail gun
|
(OOC: Yeah, I found it. Too bad it was too expensive. But, I got some good stuff anyway!)
|
(OOC) No offence, but if I keep getting left behind I'm just going to drop it.I mean, I go to bed, then when I come back the next morning, the thread I was in finished and a new one is halfway filled up. It's just a real pain in the ass to do.
Erika decided to work around in the simulators. In between the target practice, she tried to figure out a way she could help out with the repairs. |
(OOC: Well, then. You can join up with my guy for his mission. Of course, that means you'll be missing the arena, but hey, it's a nice pay-off!)
Samuel leaned back in his chair as he looked through his mail. "Bill, bill, bill, ad, bill, subpeanoa...jeez, I though they finished sending me this crap." Samuel threw it all away. There was one letter that caught his eye. It was a fancy envelope, and it was sent from the head office of Arrakis, a desert planet that wasn't too far from where Samuel was. He opened up the letter, and read it. "Dear Samuel...damn it, they smudged my last name. Well, Dear Samuel, we are in need of your assistance. A terrorist group has sent in a large warning that they will be destroying the capital city of Arrakis. Our army isn't very advanced, and the terrorists have gotten quite a few mechs and ships from the blackmarket. When we looked into the military files, we found your past history. You have a lust for killing, and you always get the job done. That's exactly what we need. Our intelligence has found the headquarters of the terrorists. What we need is a small group to go in, and either cripple their operations or destroy them completely. We only really need you. If you want to bring along a few people, then fine, but at most bring along two other people. We don't need a big controversy. Of course, we wouldn't dream of having you do this cheap. As payment, you and any comrades you bring will each recieve 10,000 credits, plus complete scavenge rights for any parts you like at the terrorist headquarters. If you agree, please come to Arrakis as soon as possible." Samuel folded up the letter, and put it in his pocket. He smiled. He was having people pay him 10,000 creds AND complete scavenger rights just to do what he loved most! God, he loved his job. But, he hated to admit it, but he would need more than himself for this job. |
Wayward wiped the sweat off his forehead as he hovered out of the simulators. He noted the woman Erika tinkering with them, and decided not to interrupt her.
I'd better place the order for the new parts soon... As he moved through the base corridors he passed by Samuel's room. He seemed pretty damn happy, and for some morbid reason he wanted to know why. "What's got you grinning? A new chance to kill, maim and slaughter?" |
