Wayward hovered off after Samuel.

"Any idea on who or what we'll be going up against? I doubt I can take on 12 murderous maniacs in mechs all by my lonesome..."

"Guess my tech skills will be getting a workout." Erika said.

"Let's board, then I'll tell you what you need to know."

An hour later, the three pilots were sitting in a rather small carrier. It was just big enough to fit the three mech pilots, the ship pilot, and carry the three mechs. Samuel took out an info sheet, and began to read out.

"It seems our opponents are just some local terrorists. Nothing too big, but they're crazy enough to do exactly what they said they would. They have 8 mechs, and 4 ships. The Arrakis government hasn't officially told us the exact models of mechs and ships they have. That's perfect. But, they managed to find the kind of weaponry they got. Hmm. It seems that every mech is equipped with a Broadsword Laser sword, they have Vulcan guns, not sure which type they got, and they also have Missile launchers. Short range. So, it seems that they're big on relatively-close range combat. Wait. They have two special mechs, though. One is a huge destructive one. It's got a Guass cannon, Tank-KH-4N treads, vibro-axe, you name any big stuff, that things got it. Also, they got a nice Air Mech. It's HovM-AM-M4G hover legs, an RCS-Astro jet, and F1-GH73R model Rocket Launcher. So, we gotta be careful on this. Oh, and I call the Gauss cannon. I've been looking for one, but the store back there was out. So, don't destroy that cannon."

Samuel looked over the specs a few times.

"Well, I was going to say to stay at a safe distance, but when you got a mech that goes that high into the air, and has a Rocket Launcher, and I'm going to guess that it has sniper capabilities up the wazoo, we got some problems. As for the normal ones, we should try to find a nice cover area. If they start using the Vulcans, we hide out and wait for them to either over-heat, or they're forced to stop. Then, we get them."

El glared at Pilsbury. "Don't call me Squirt." and added as an afterthought "Sir."

OOC: *tears* Aw.. I wanted to go too. >_<; Oh well, I guess I'll stick with the main group.

OOC: ... So, your guy is just going to actually beat a Mech with all the equipment you actually want (It would crush you...), and then just steal it all? Next time I'm going on one of these cheap little missions...

(OOC: IHMN, you HAVE read my guy fight, right? More often than not, he blows up his opponent. Which means chances are good that he's going to end up damaging the parts he wants. And most of the parts that he saves, he'll just end up selling them anyway.)

In the corner Kyle grumbled about something which any listener wouldn't under stand. "What could the year 2036 bring? Damn it, i had a great post for that too, but no they closed it. Damn ignorant hippies got me riled up and now i can't respond. Meh. I'll just log the post incase anyone's curious as to why i started to flame them."

*chugs down the last of his beer*

"Ah! That's great, Bartender! Get me another one of these will ya?"

OOC: *Laughs at the hidden refrence to this forum in Gato's characters mutterings...*

After a couple of beers, Jake got up and payed his bill. Before leaving, he turned to Joanna. "You still coming?"

OOC: Want to offically buy the stuff before the R & R ends... And I think the hippy is BraveFencer

"Sure." Joanna replied as she stood up. She quickly payed for her drink then headed out with Jake, <Maybe they have some new things that I could buy to help me repair their UCVs. If they keep getting them beat up like last time, I'm gonna need any help I can get.>

OOC: *Sniff* And they closed that thread before I could join in...

Will stayed there, and went back to the bar for another drink, and after another drink, he resumed his discussion with Fero from earlier...

OOC: I'm saying that where ever you buy UCV parts, you go up to some touch screen thing, put in ID and UCV ID, then select parts to sell/buy on screen, while it shows your credits from buying/selling somewhere...

At the UCV shop, Jake went up to a personal screen. After putting in his ID and UCV ID, he started to sell the parts he was selling, then began to buy the parts he wanted. Once he was done, Jake looked at the screen closely, then slammed his fist against the wall. "Damnit!"

[ooc] oh no Celes, i'm not calling you a hippy. I'm referring to the people who continued to argue after you bailed out of the thread. I could name a few names but i wont. Joanna glanced over at Jake, who was obviously frusterated at something, "What's wrong?" she said as she walked over and peered onto the screen.

EDIT OOC: Oh good. ^^ I'm glad I'm not a hippy.

Jake groaned, then turned to Joanna. "I'm 3,500 credits short of what I expected. Figured the booster I had would sell for more. Now I need to give up something..." Jake turned back to his screen, looking at what he should get rid off.

OOC: you know, IHMN, you are an evil, evil man.

Joanna watched Jake for a bit, as he labored over what he was going to give up, "What are you going to have to give up?" She asked.

OOC: Actually, I did do the figures wrong... I was still negetive, but I was only 1500 before I double checked the prices...

"Well, I was planning on selling the F-1N sensor (Shoulder radar) since I was buying the H-328 (A head unit) which comes with a radar, and then selling my boosters to buy a KH-Archangel (Best booster). Though I could buy a Cherubim, but it isn't nearly as good as the Archangel... Guess I'll probably not sell my booster and wait till next mission to buy the archangel..." Jake groaned again. "Though I was sure I was going to get it now..."

OOC: Also, forgot to mention, but before they went to the shop, Jake went to a bank like place and cashed in the check to put the money in his account, and I'm guessing Joanna would have done that as well.

"Well..." Joanna trailed off, <I do have my whole paycheck, and I don't really know what I'll spend it on... but...> She sighed, <What the hell, there'll always be more missions, I guess.> She cursed her soft nature at times, "I guess I could loan you 3,500 credits..." She shrugged, "But no more than 3,500. I can't give you my whole paycheck, you know."

(OOC: there, I've done my good deed for the day.)

OOC: I'm tempted to have Jake do an evil smirk before he turns around...

"A loan? I'll accept that, even give you a 20% intrest (4200)." Jake minimized the buying screen, and turned on the bank part of the console. Stepping to the side, he let Joanna get to the console to put 3,500 credits into his account. "Thank you..." You mumbled to himself.

OOC: Yes, the first step is easy, go to the dark side Joanna, kshhh... [/Darth Vader voice]
