meh, it was alright, nothing TOO hilarious, only because it has been done before to death, and Light Warriors don't do well against the undead most of the time

Man I laughed out loud when I read this comic (very rare for me). I especially loved BM's line in the second panel.

I belive it is mentaly impossible for anyone to be stupider than Fighter even people in comas well at least they dont move thus avoid doing stupid things. anyone wanna beat we see a hadoken or bm learns some new spell....

hm. It`s almost like Red Mage CURSED Black Mage when he reproved him.

Ya, though he`s a bit of a bastard, I am starting to REALLY like that Red Mage. He claimed at one time that he LIKES Thief, and he holds no real ill will against Fighter. Never got along with teh Master of teh Scaries, though.
One could argue (though it wouldn`t be me. :D) that he IS the most versitile of all the lightbulb warriors. - especially with Mime.

Thanks again, Brian, for a wonderful strip...er, comic.

YOU GIT! HAHAHA

I laughed so suddenly on the last 2 panels it hurt!

That was definatly a good pointer by Thief and good reference for his stinking magic which we haven't heard from in a long time

Ryong is prolly right, I bet Kraken pits alot of the descriptions we just had in this comic anyway

But, in all seriousness - as if there were to be any seriousness found here - the Light Warriors all have their share of problems and idiocy.

:bmage: Black Mage has the unilateral desire for power and is horny as hell. Because his mind has almost no filters, he will blurt out what immediately comes to mind, sometimes without coherent thought coming into play first. (This usually happens around White Mage.) I won't say his murdering rampages are a bad thing, but I will say he's internationally despised.

:fighter: Well, we all know this one. Gullible, honest-faced, and barely a coherent thought in all his head. He's so stupid that it's contagious. They only clear and present thought in Fighter's head has GOT TO BE all about swords. Anything else in there had the sense to leap out a long time ago. Fighter is a follower, and yet he must lead because he wouldn't make a very good meat-shield otherwise. Fighter is, however, incredibly funny.

:thief: The homunculus, Greed, from Fullmetal Alchemist is more tame than Thief. Greed wanted things, but only Thief would try to take anything and everything, including things which might cause trouble later on. I can hardly imagine a whole KINGDOM of guys like him, so he must be the prince of Elfland due to expertise or something. He'll cheat anyone...even himself!

:rmage: And of course, we know what HIS problem is. Let's see... Dorky, arrogant, embarassing, and without-a-clue would seem to be a few good starter qualities, but Red Mage is, in fact, responsible for actual temporal and spacial anomalies that could lead to a worse fate than what is already shared. He may, in fact, be a living hex-magnet with his so-called logic...

And this brings me to the ultimate conclusion that the current situation between the Light Warriors and the Cthulhu Cultists is ALL RED MAGE'S FAULT!

I see the personality types now. They're all based from high school cliques! BM is the horny teenager who never gets any, but flirts with all the girls, Fighter is the dumb jock, Thief is the guy who screws you over constantly, and RM is the elitist nerd no one likes.

Myst 09-02-2006 10:53 PM

I would just like to add that I've been giggling all day about this comic, prompting several odd looks from customers. Further kudos to Brian.

hanzo66 09-03-2006 01:00 AM

I know some elitist nerds...

They're the type who will not accept anything that goes against their views and are prone to rants to prove their point, no matter how petty it is...

Trixbeat 09-03-2006 04:29 AM

To be perfectly honest, I'm pretty sure BM does stink the most because of various spell ingredients left in his pockets.

"Don't insult the nerds. One day you may end up working for them."
