Strange musical instruments

During my semi-regular internet wanderings trudging through the mire of all things inane, ridiculous, outlandishly stupid, obnoxious, and foul to the eyes..I have stumbled upon a great video in clear visuals and audio of one amazing instrument. Well, not exactly new to me since I've been a lifelong fan of Primus and Les Claypool's side projects..but this vid is the best whamola vid I've seen as of yet.

Created and named by the Legend himself Les Claypool, it is called the Whamola.
Les Claypool's Frog Brigade - whamola

So, my fellow forumites I call upon you folks to share your findings of interestingly strange and amazing instruments. Or this can be considered a 'I'ma callin you out' kinda deal to begin a search into the odd, peculiar, and bohemian for sharing.

I think probably the next weirdest instroment was in that video as well. The "shinny can without a bottom" which seems to be similarly played like the "arm pit". BUT! with a much better sound.

I think it's called a ''kwika'' or something in the likes of that. It's a percussion instrument and is often used in latino/brasilien music. When well played, it's kinda sounds like a monkey's cry( ou, ou!! ou, ou!!).

By far the strangest musical instrument is two spoons clacking together between a persons palm and knee. Who would in fact ever think of making music with a common eating utensil?

What about the washtub bass. Ooooh, I feel deliciously hillbilly just saying that.

Spacepope, you are officially my hero of the week. I've been trying to remember the name of that instrument for YEARS!

A hero!

That actually made me misty! XD

But yea, it was bothering the heck out of me, so I had to find it.
I remember there being one in that movie "Virtuosity"
With denzel.

What A creepy sounding thing.

I've been reading a book about ancient Greek music, and I've been, pathetically, thinking about making a set of auloi (those are the two double reed pipes), or possibly a lyre/kithara.

God, I'm such a loser.
