Final Fantasy RP Chapter 6
Almost everyone here was gathered around a campfire made in the remains of the village. Even the wounded were moved so they could be part of the discussion about the plan. Ripel had propped himself against a wall and soon after fell asleep, succumbing to the weariness that comes through a loss of five days' slumber and the exertion of battle.
Tired, he simply had Redael convey to the others what the plan was. To take down Ciaran would take some time, some preperation, and in this battle he saw he couldn't handle one magitek, let alone a whole army, so Ripel told the elder that they were going to run. To tell the truth, he hadn't wanted to talk to them himself. He just couldn't be the figure they needed at the moment, and Redael was wise and respected. Redael was perfect for the role of the leader, and was experienced in handling matters concerning public relations. Also...he couldn't really face them now, just about everyone knew his role in the new N'Revat government through his bursts of irrational anger at the now deceased commander. He had decided to simply get some sleep. Elder can take care of things tonight. ooc-You guys should know where you are. If you don't, know you're either in the village or back at Preos at the moment. |
OOC: Is this Chapter 5 or 6?
|
OOC: Chapter 6... RP creaters tend to be bad counters...
|
OOC:In any case, has the RP finally died? Noooo!
|
OOC: Well I'll keep posting. I don't think it died, just everyone is slow to post.
Dezil had stumbled to the edge of the forest, and was now at the edge of the demolished village. He needed to get in, but there were guards set up, and he didn't want to kill anyone to get there. He sat at the base of a tree and began to think up a plan with the gear he had. |
OOC: This thing ain't dead. Like FZ said, we're just slow :) /OOC
Blyr was pndering deeply, in a state between meditation and conciousness, sitting on a rooftop in his war-torn village. Even though Redael was telling everyone a plan of action, Blyr practically knew what to do already. He knew that his friend Ripel had a tough time out there, and almost got himself killed out there. His thoughts turned elsewhere, as he remembered almost getting hit when a Magitek pilot's ejection seat came hurtling out of the sky. I should probably tell Ripel about this...but I don't want to burden him right now. He remembered back when they were in the capital city. Ripel assasinated the king...there must be a reason for this, he's no killer. I bet he made a deal with Cieran to get us out of the airship without any trouble in exchange for that favor. What good does that do us now, though? He's out to kill us at the moment...and that Magitek unit was only a fraction of his armies. We're in deep trouble... His grim expression brightened up. Well, let's see who we have in our fighting squad now...Me, Ripel, Ark, Carolina, the dragoon named Kiara, a shaman named Naras, and that Daemon character. I bet we could take on anything N'revat could throw at us. |
ooc-Yes. People are sometimes slow to post, I don't like myself posting too much, and at least two of the people are temporarily gone. Oh well, I know that they'll be back soon.
The assembly was over, Redael had let them go and mingle, rest, or whatever else they were doing. There had been those who had objected to running away, but it only took the number of casualties to quiet them down. He was old, but he wasn't senile. He knew that retreat was the only reasonable decision. Today was just a fluke. I may be old, but I haven't gone senile yet. With those shields they are practically invincible. We can only bide our time until we are ready to strike. However, I wonder if it'll be soon enough. There is no doubt that this won't be the only place with Magitek sent to it. Tomorrow we'll be heading southeast. I wonder, have N'Revat forces arrived there as well? The elder sighed as he continued to walk amongst the remains of the village. Well, we'll see...tomorrow we'll see. |
(OOC: I keep forgetting that my character's name is Kairi. ^^;; )
Kairi was off, aways from where everyone else was, practicing with her partisan. She used her partisan to boost her up into the sky, then came back down, slashing an imaginary foe. She was a proud dragoon, working to make the world safe, and trying to make the world a place were so many innocent lives would be slaughtered. She blamed herself for the loss of the village, she had gotten there in time, but she didn't have to strength to save it. Those who had survived were pretty much homeless now, which in this day and age, was about jsut as good as being dead. After a vigorous training session, she rested on the grass, gazing back at hte remains of the village she had rushed to save. (OOC: and I haven't been posting much 'cause I'm still fairly new (to this RP) and I don't know EXACTLY what's going on, so I don't want to screw anything up... ^^; ) |
Dezil had pieced together one last trick from what he had Glam make. He fiddled with the Anti-Magic Backpack, that allowed soldiers to have a personal anti-magic field, and some other Magicite he had. He put it all together, strapped on the backpack, and hit a switch. He felt a mild tingling, and hoped that meant it worked. He walked straight towards the camp, avoiding the fires but not the guards.
He approached the first guard from the side. As he accidently stepped on a branch, the guard snapped around and looked straight at him, then after a second, he went back to gazing into the forest for danger. Dezil smiled, his Vanish Pack worked! Rendered invisable by the pack, he slowly crept into the camp, looking for the mage he had fought earlier. |
OOC: Because Dante is out of action, and I still want in on this RP...
A teenaged boy approached Kairi from behind. "I still think this was a little rushed, but I'm glad we came, Miss Kairi." Marche Radiuju sat down beside her, looking at the person he had been assigned to guard for this journey. Well, he hadn't exactly been told to protect her, more of "keep an eye on her", and he had the feeling that in any serious combat situation, she'd be the one doing the real protecting. After all, he was still in training, and he hadn't even received his Judge Sword yet. He still didn't understand how he had gotten into this job in the first place. He'd never been a very athletic person, and being a paladin entailed lots of running around, albeit on Chocobos. It seemed as though one minute he had still been schooling at home, and then the next, he had been transferred to the knight academy to learn how to defend himself and others, as well as the frequent trips to the judge academy for lessons in the law. In a way, he was glad to have been sent to accompany Mistress Kairi. Studying in musty libraries would make anyone long for the sun. And few could ask for a better role model than her. Strong, courageous and ready to protect the weak... I always wanted to be like that... I guess that's why there wasn't any real resistance on my part... |
