Legend Of Zelda

I decided to make a non-FF related topic. Ask questions about LoZ and I'll explain ASAP. (How the games relate, etc.)

Ocarina of Time, Forest Stage, what do you do? The clock is ticking!

Hint:
no hint, read the sign

Ok, do you think that the cel-shaded graphics that was used in the Wind Waker will be continued in the next biggest Zelda game or will Nintendo continue to re-invent the image of the Legend of Zelda?

Hero Mage 01-22-2004 08:55 PM

Quakzilla-Follow saria's song. Unless your talking about the dugeon, and then it is going to be a lot longer answer. And please be more specific next time. (Simpsons were on in my time zone. Reason why it took a while.)
Joe- That remains unknown. I think it might, because MM had the same graphics as OoT. Assuming the "following the same link" follows, then yes, they'll keep the graphics the same. If it's a land base game, and link is older, the probably would be a darker, more anime-esqe form of cel-shading. The "Following the same Link" is each different generation of link has a different view on the world. OoT Link thought he was a Koroki, but he had no fairy, making most of his childhood depressed, thus the darker graphics. WW Link had a very happy childhood with his grandmother and sister. Thus the more light hearted look. The whole gannondorf event may have made him tougher, putting a more realistic look on his world.

I don't really care what Link looks like as long as the games stay as good. I personally like the Cel Shaded graphics more than the Realistic ones, since the dungeons and enemies in the Wind Waker look much better than those in OoT, imo. But like you said, Hero, I think that the Cel Shading will only be used in one more game until Nintendo tries something new with Zelda. Anyway, the only thing I want is for them to make the next Zelda game harder; harder dungeons, trickier puzzles and harder bosses.

where is princess ruto in jabu jabu's belly. I looked in every room that I can get in. I'm getting really mad.

Quackzilla 01-22-2004 09:30 PM

in the "forest stage" you put on a mask and play the song of storms or the suns song
its a really hidden secret area but it gets you a deku stick upgrade
(there is a sign that says "Forest Stage; we are waiting to see your many beutiful faces")
secret grotto under grass in lost wood, butterflies above it

miyamoto and nintendo already released a statement to the press saying that the next zelda game WILL be cel shaded

princess ruto will be in the big room with holes in the floor, though as you proceed her location may change

Lost in Time 01-22-2004 09:36 PM

I know she's supposed to be there, but she was moved, note that I am borring the game, so the owner of the game must've moved her. Does anyone know if she can be taken out of the dungoun?

Quackzilla 01-22-2004 09:37 PM

where are you in the game?
tell me what items you have gottem so far in the dungeon

Lost in Time 01-22-2004 09:44 PM

Well I got the boomerang and I've been in every room except the two that you need ruto for. I have already beat the parasite, I think. All I need to is to get into the bosses lair.
