Why of course I'm trying to kill you. That's the entire premise of the RP isn't it?

More seriously, boss fights are intended to be difficult. Most bosses will not come prepackaged with a convenient weak spot you can hit for massive damage. There's still one or two, most of which are very hard if you're not taking advantage of it. Generally though, you'll have to come up with your own way to win.

Uh, sorry Hawk, but someone being able to tear a large crystal out of its moorings in the ceiling with nothing more than a blast of wind, propelling it at such an angle it can hit another prism and instead of just refracting light, the combined effect is to fire some sort of heat ray exactly where one intends seems a little too unlikely, even for the Avvy RP.

Also, more practically, any glass created by such a blast of intense heat would be fairly molten (or very hot at least) and thus difficult to slide on. There's some niftiness in there, but it seems a bit too farfetched to pull off.

As a little bit of a reminder for everyone, its not the prisms that fire the sun rays - there's mobile lens arrays which focus the light. Even if all the prisms were destroyed, the lenses could reposition and, with a little bit of improvisation, use the light coming through the ceiling shafts. The prisms being gone would definately hamper their effectiveness, but not get rid of them.

Would reducing the number of prisms reduce the number of rays around the caryatid enough that someone whith good timeing could get past though?

The rays are still fairly spaced out. It's not like there's hundreds of them. They're approximately evenly distrubuted about the perimeter. Just really needs a bit of dramatic evasion. Destroying a prism will at least stop some of them temporarily as they'll need to reposition.

If someone could cast a darknee spell on those prisms that should stop the lenses??
