8-bit Theatre Video GAME??? Hmmm... not QUITE~~!!

Hi guys,
Okay, I'll keep it short and sweet. Looks very 8-bit theatre-ish. But is a super action rpg game. Just check out the video and you'll see! Give the Demo a try, we are aware it is a bit hard to play at first, but once you master the game mechanics, you can do combos like the one in the video. also, be sure to check out the "Play Room" to see combos you can do and be sure to read the instructions page!
oh yeah, and any comments or feedback will be greatly appreciated!! THANKS!!

SUPER FIGHTING HYPER blah blah blah... VIDEO!!

Super Fighting Hyper Action Sidescrolling Oldschool Mega Awesome RPG Game
Yeah, thats the title!

Anyhow, the DEMO has all the basics of the battle system, minus a whole slew of super and special moves...
this release is just to show off the battle system. There are still some bugs in the game since we are still in testing and developing. So if you find a bug, please let us know. You can go to get instructions here...

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEWBIES!!!

ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND THE LINK TO THE DEMO!!!!
Don't worry, its not spyware, I promise!
DL here please!! (^_^)/

This may cause seizures so.. yea.. not our fault..

Here are some pics....

A real demo version will be out around NOV 15th..ish.. i think.. This version will actually have a storyline (which we dont have one yet..) and whatnot.. so yea..

Oh, if the game is running slowly, please change the config.ini file.

The format of the file is pretty.. gimpy.. but.. the first value is the width of hte screen.. the second is the height.. the third is the bits per pixel and the last value makes the game fullscreen or not.. heres an example

640
480
16
-1

-1 means its not going to be in full screen
anything else will be fullscreen

make sure they are numbers.. and.. yea.. thats it..

AND PLEASE ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE awesome, can be anything to the battle system, characters, or the typography, which we are aware is not that easy to read. The more critical the better. THANKS!!!

and Yeah, I asked the mods about posting this, they said it was fine with them. Having said that, sorry for having seemed a bit.. ummm... self promoting, I just thought the 8-bit theatre audience would like to try something that may relate to your interest (i.e. oldschool ff style characters and over the top magic moves).

-----------------------------------UPDATE-------------------------------------------------------
We are in the process of finalizing multiplayer co-op mode for the game. So far, the action has intensified dramatically with so much stuff going on screen that its kind of chaotically insane. BUUUUT it makes for a good battle where you can show off to your friends how badass you are when compared to them. Also makes air juggles that much more interesting as you now have the ability to do tag team combos and such and even combine super moves to fatal effect!!! Stay tuned for the latest release!!

Okay, couple of notes:

The "EDIT" button is what you're looking for. Also, the mods also frown upon multi-posting.

As far as the game goes, I'll playtest it when I'm not at work =)

Say, when you typed "I accept the rules," did it cross your mind to read them first? Because then you would have read the rule about no double posting. EDIT: ninja'd, but it's worth stressing.

Also, is this game actually 8-Bit Theater related or is it just made with sprites? Please don't take it personal, but we generally frown at sign-ups made just to promote something, and while it's possible to redeem yourself by having made a really good game, I'd rather there be no confusion about this.

That said, the screenshots don't look bad, and if this just happens to be your introduction here, all is forgiven. :)
EDIT2:

Do we ever!

Well, thanks for deleting those two posts, and enjoy your stay. ^^

I'm still leery, but I'll take a look at the game.

GAAAAAAAAAAH! EXCESSIVE USE OF BRIGHT COLOURS INDUCES SEIZURE!

Nah, just kidding. I'll take a look at the game as well later on... the video looked pretty hawt, the amount of hits in that combo was... well... more than just huge. 'specially if it's 8 bit as well then, that's another plus.

It's a fun little game, give it a whirl if you haven't yet. It was embarassing to get slaughtered by the rabbit things though.

That blue blst near the end of the video looked like my favorite spell.

I thought you played Final Fantasy Online?

Because, if you have, being slaughtered by rabbits shouldn't be new.

I totally frown on people plugging things.

Except when they're plugging things which are totally sweet!

Which this totally is.

But um... yeah. Mind the rules and junk.

Totally.

This is really sweet, but it's hard to get into. I mean... it takes like a minute to get into a game, and when you've just started, you generally die in less than that. Personally, I've tried to play it about 5 times, and I can't do anything because my character keeps pausing, I can't hit enemies when they're close enough to hit me, and the teleport button doesn't always work, even when I've got all 3 bars full of the yellow... teleport... juice... for the lack of a better term.

Anyway, the game looks really cool... I just wish that you could go straight to Arcade mode without having to listen to the story and create your character. Frankly, I don't care if I end up with a large tiger-fish named Jellobruce who is covered in flowers and candy... I just want to be able to start playing again quickly once I die. And if possible, please make the character a bit less prone to pauses.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm a n00b. I found the Rec Room. I understand things now, sweet game!
