Segway sucks
 

I'll bet that guy's Segway-clone would outrun any normal Segway with 60V NiMh batteries and brushless wheelchair motors.

Don't hate Segway though. It's a wonderful new opportunity for human evolution. :D

This is only adding to the humans obesity rate.

My uncle is a mailman and I can imagine him using a segway. It would make his job a lot easier.

I just want to say one thing: A segway is a scooter. A neat scooter, I admit, a scooter that balances itself, but still, it is a very costly scooter. You could just get one of those little gas or electric jobs and do the same thing, except without all the people looking and oogling at you. If I was a mailman, I probably couldn't afford a segway, but I would get me one of those small gas scooters with the little seat that sticks up. Be just as usefull, just without the gyros and self stabalizers.

My opinion, is that while I will never buy one, I don't see why others couldn't if they want to. Do I think it is extremely lazy and a waste of money? Yes. Do I think it has no practical purpose? No. I don't see a need for personal use, even though I see possible buisness uses.
