parking tickets! ArrgghH! I can't belive it.
 

Why, when it would cost me 0.15 cents had I paid for it, do I have to pay $24.00 for going 15 mintues over on my parking meter!?!

I can't properly express my rage. I mean, sheesh! It's raining like a hurricane over here, I've already paid for parking time TWICE. You can't let 15 minutes slide?

1. They have no way of knowing if you paid before or not. Besides, you should put enough money to be sure that you do not go overtime.

2. 24 USD is not that much either... be careful next time.

3. They are making money this way. Parking violations are separate articles of income in many cities!

Just be glad it wasn't in San Diego. One of my co-workers got a $100 ticket for the same infraction.

I'm just glad I live in a town so small we don't have parking meters.

Anyway - it is still a ridiculous thing.

You know what's awesome, is I park without feeding the meter all the time for an hour or so at a stretch, and nobody tickets me ever.

I mean if you think about it Nique, the exorbitantly high cost of that ticket you're paying - that's like the price for there being people like me!

I thought the cost of people like you, was the hike in arson insurance?

Anyway just remember, at least you aren't the person who gives em out Nique, god that job's gotta suck.

Only in those rare instances where the car's owner walks up and starts yelling at you while you're right in the middle of writing out the ticket. Luckily, these instances only happen in fictional TV shows and motion pictures.

Real parking enforcement officers move swiftly under cover of darkness, scribbling out tickets and sticking them on your windshield with deadly ninja precision. Since you almost never have to deal with the person your ticketing face-to-face, the job's no suckier than any other gig that involves you being outside for several hours a day.

Well our local ones seem to have skipped the courses on ninjary, I see the poor bastards copping abuse almost everytime I see them.

Maybe the ones in your town are more into pirates?
