Best Hero's, who is your favorite
Who do you think is the best hero in your anime, and i don't mean the regular old hero's, like if you pick the show naruto, you have to pick naruto usimaki as the hero you like the best. I mean who you think should be the hero of the show, any show.
Speaking of the naruto novel, my favorite would have to be rock lee, not because of the hair do, because of the lotus techniques and the fighting style. |
The best leads in a show I have seen have been:
Yakumo (3x3 Eyes) Lina Inverse (Slayers) Ahiru (Princess Tutu) Makunoichi Ippo (Hajime no Ippo) Kinomoto Sakura (CardCaptor Sakura) Onizuka (GTO) Ashitaka (Mononokehime) Pazu/Sheeta (Dual stars of Laputa: Castle in the Sky) Nausicaa (Nausicaa) Batou (GitS Movie 2) Note, I'm saying main characters more than 'Heroes' because not all of these did Heroic deeds. |
Yagami Light and L from DeathNote. Best. Detective. Story. Ever.

well depends on what you mean by best
if you mean the hero I personally liked most, I would have to say Vash from trigun. If we extend this to non-anime then it would be Sang (Ph. D) followed closely by Gamma (Zombie Powder). If there are anime of either please let me know. I would also throw in Coop and Megas, mainly because he is the god of Deus ex Machina and the only one I have seen to do it well. but if you mean as I think you do, of who we would pick as main characters. Well then the list would be insanely long. Also some of the draw is because they are side characters. Your example of Rock Lee for instance. For the most part the comic would be dull if he was the main character because 99% of the time he is training. Its good character development and makes sence. Its just wouldn't be fun to read. What I am saying is, the main character is the main character for a reason. So all though I might preffer another character I do not believe said character should be focus of the story. *sips drink* |

Me? Well heck, FMA has tons of good candidates, and if you want me to pick Ed Elric, I will, but he's got nothing on, oh, say, Maes Hughs for goodguyness. Roy Mustang's pretty high end on that too. And hell, Scar in the right light was a vigilant of admiration. <3 my FMA. |
I don't really know why, but I've like Kazuma from Scryed for a while now. He's not much of an actual "hero", but he's the focus of the series. He's just a real badass, is all, and I love it. I mean, he's only fighting his enemies because they pissed him off. I just haven't seen motivation like that very often.
Also, I'm gonna second Ashitaka, like Ken said. Aside from being a great character, that curse of his sure does help make some great scenes and conflicts. |
David the Gnome.
C'mon, that little bastard knew what was up. |
some one else watched David the Gnome? Now I feel less special. Though I am sure a few hours of said show will fix that
|
Watch? Shit, I still catch myself whistling the theme, from time to time.

Another nomination from me would be DinoBot, from Beast Wars. If you haven't seen Code of Hero then I won't spoil it for you, but damn, that episode alone makes the whole series worthy (although worthiness is one thing Beast Wars doesn't need more of).
