8-Bit Game Scrapped
 

Thjat's right I'm not jokning.. at a team meeting we had we decided that instead of doing an 8-bit game we would branch out on our own and do our own RPG, sorry to any fans we disapointed no it didin't die it "evolved" .. I hope you guys will still back me up .. here's a link to info on the new game..

Hmm, it looks like an interesting idea. Well, I for one wish you the best of luck on your new game.

...can't help but feel a little disappointed that:
A) It won't be based off 8-Bit Theatre, and
B) It's going to be an online game.

Point A
Since 8-Bit Theatre was based off Final Fantasy, it was easy to think up music, since I (and many others, I'm sure) noticed that the series' tunes all followed a particular theme.
There was (and is) always that certain vibe that gave out that authentic Final Fantasy feel alongside the game itself.

Point B
Just my opinion, but online gaming can prove to be INCREDIBLY annoying at times. Especially for those who are still on dial up, but it's not always the connection speed that leads to problems for the gamer. Rather, it's the online server.

Short points, but you can see where I'm getting at.
I'm still all for making music for this game... However, I'm just a bit lost on it now.

bummer, now it sounds like a "serious" rp game, not like 8bit theatre i was looking forward to it but now its sounds like a regular 2d level up rpg, which i cant stand unless its gonna be like pokemon which was cool and had lots of variety and choices but this game is not going to be like 8 bit or pokemon which are the only two 2drp style games that i would play i also hate run on sentences that deviate from the original topic and have little to no relevance to the topic at hand and online rpg games suck

It's actually 3d and we're taking the emphasis off leveling.. it's a different system but we hope it will work

is it a weapon-teaches-ability system like final fantsy tactics advance?

Well, if there are enough people bummed out about the lack of an 8BT game, why doesn't someone else go ahead and make one? RPG Maker does not exactly take a rocket scientist to figure out...

I'd be happy to lend a hand if anyone is interested in pursuing this project. Good luck to you other dudes on your new game, in any event.

If you want I can do some models at some point, but my own Sonic game is taking up a lot of brain time.
